I'm almost your age, rode in that era growing up and I still ride. You have rose tinted glasses for the past. The level of progression in bmx isn't eclipsed by any other sport I can think of. Go watch your favorite haro video from the past and ”right here" by Dennis here back to back . Literally no comparison. Boomers do this same sort of thing when they talk about muscle cars from the 60s that do 14s in the quarter and can't break .60g on a skid pad. modern Soccer mom SUVs are more capable than that. Many of the vlogs on this channel are just that. Little snippets and extra content that aren't going into bigger vids for their sponsors.

@@assaultlick2169 yea maybe I do have rose tinted glasses for the past , & I also still ride . I happen to still have all of my Haro,s from when I was a kid . 87 sport , 88 FSX , 89 Team Master w/ bash guard / black , 90 Master flat bottom & 92 Air Master . All of them have all the same parts on them same breaks , cranks , bars etc. just different frame & forks ,all ride a bit different & are definitely not the same beasts . All in pristine condition , no rust or cracks & few scratches here & there from wear & tear , just replaced the sticker kits after fading that’s about it & I found out how much they were all worth & was advised to ensure them all & did so . I’m so sorry to put down the younger generation of riders it to me just seams like they each do the same thing over & over & over again , back flips , bar spins , flairs , etc , it like their stuck in a box & can’t think out of it when it comes to new mind blowing tricks like days of old , I guess every feasible trick has been done or their just not using these tricks to their full potential to invent new ones or the risk it to great , you know what I mean .

@@robertlee8400 man, I wish I still had some of my old rides. That's awesome that you kept them and still ride. I can't wait to get back out on 2 wheels. Snapped my right arm in half on an electric bike doing 35mph recently. Stay safe out there, us old dudes don't heal as fast as we used to 🤙

@@assaultlick2169 your absolutely right , I have to have a total hip replacement in the fall so I could be down for up to 2 years , that’s just the healing process , but could be back on my feet & walking right in 3 months but not riding for a wile . & the messed up thing is they make you get up & walk just 24 hours after the surgery , I ain’t looking forward to that at all . I’m so grateful & to be so lucky to have kept all my old rides now knowing how valuable they are in todays market . I have a 26 year old daughter who rides with me & she’s way better than myself ( I taught her well) she rides my favorite bike of them all , the 89 Haro Team Master / w bash guard . I love that dam bike so much but she’s my kid & I,ll do anything to make her happy . I usually ride the 90 Master or the 92 Air Master , the Sport & the FSX i,ll tinker with when I,ll ride Flatland . You should see the kids faces when we roll up to my local skatepark on rides older then them , blows their minds . When we go out I,ll take every ride with us because I really don’t know what I feel like riding once we get their , street , flatland or vert , I plan to keep riding until I can no longer do it , hell I might be 80 & still ride who knows as long as my body allows me to do it I’m going to have fun doing it , hell look at DMC he’s still riding to this day & he,s about to hit 60 .
