Lol, I was born when escape from newyork hit the cinemas, I didn't even know that for the longest time and it's my fav 80s dystopia future flick 😮 but how real its becoming....

Yeah, films from the '70s, '80s, '90s, and early 2000s had some serious magic back in the day, and incredibly enough "The Running Man" resonates even more today than it did in 1987. And come to think of it, excessive PC Culture in everything in general, excessive censoring, and stuff makes me think that in a way we are now living inside a "dystopia" like many writers and novelists imagined at the time. Of course, there is no "Running Man" TV show, nor are we eating "Soylent Green" yet, but we are inside a dystopia.
