What Bo Jackson did was phenomenally great but Prime Time has done it as well. What Ohtani is doing is almost miraculous. If he played on a team like The Braves, they'd win 120 games and he won't be under nearly the pressure. Every now and then I watch the documentary "Jordan Rides The Bus" because it's so interesting to me. Like MJ Baseball was my 1st love. I truly believe that if MJ had dedicated the rest of his "prime" to baseball he would have hit 300 and been an All Star. Of course he made the "right" choice. I know that Nike is glad that he returned but the "raw" potential was there.
Shohei Ohtani is the Unicorn, some compared Bo Jackson and Dion Sanders, they played baseball and football not at the same time, once the season ended they would switch to playing that sport, Shohei is doing both at the same time. And although what Bo and Dion did was amazing, they were'nt great playing both like Shohei is dominating pitching and hitting, Bo and Dion were an average player in baseball but was really good in football, and a Pitcher is more valuable then a running back or a corner back. John Smotz said a Pitcher is like a QB in football that controls the game and the results.
Sure ken griffey’s bat Lucille was named after BB king’s guitar and not the preferred murder weapon belonging to That villain from walking dead? It was literally a baseball bat
People act like Bo Jackson was great at both sports, he was good, but not great. Deion Sanders was of course a HOF in NFL, good at MLB. Brian Jordan was better than both of them at MLB, started 2 season in NFL before focusing on baseball.
