Released in 1982 on the Je-Har label, I was turned on to this burner via Ferry Maat's radio show in the mid '80s. During the heady days of the rare groove era, tracks like these were often less than ten years old but they meant the world to us. I'm very thankful that at long last San Francisco's modern soul/boogie scene is growing and tracks like these are getting respect due. If you are in SF check out Soul It's The Real Thing & Sweater Funk, our love of modern soul knows no limits, KTF!
