Steven harper has to be one of Canadas best prime Minister of all time. I miss having adults run this great nation.

One of the best things I've seen in a long time.... the car analogy was brilliant. It was nice to have some grown-ups in the room, with both real life experience and historical education. It was inspiring.

In that half hour those two said more sensible things than Trudeau has said in his entire term as prime minister. What we have in Trudeau is not a prime minister but a subprime minister. He is an intellectual midget on a grand scale.

I had been voting Liberal until before Justin Trudeau, but even then at no time did I ever think Liberal party doesn't need a competition/opposition. And with Justin Trudeau's government being what it is, we really need to hit a brake on his "Progress".

I’m still a huge fan of Steven Harper. Sigh……..those were stable days. Unlike the absolute chaos in our federal government now under Trudeau. Harper talks reality and truth. Trudeau pretends to talk, but doesn’t t answer any questions.

It was Preston’s work for welfare ideas that led to the self employment program here in Manitoba. I signed up for this when I was laid off at the age of 45 and have not looked back. Instead of living on welfare I support myself and still pay taxes. Oh how that common sense idea was slammed. Yet, the NDP government used it despite criticizing it themselves. Thank-you Preston for holding your ground.

I hear the word Renaissance and think, art, culture, creativity and change. I think of Artists like rembrandt when I think of the word Renaissance. we need strong, unbiased and pragmatic leaders who are capable of understanding what's best for our country as a whole, thats how you get a "Renaissance". it is through the sheer force of genius and the sheer force of will that you gain such. maybe one day...

conservatives need to go through a renaissance and split into 2 parties again. Allowing the crazy terminally online to control the party has been a disaster.

Harper is thoughtful and articulate. His clear thinking and lack of hyperbole is a breath of fresh air.

I think we need to stop thinking that any of the political parties in Canada (or around the world for that matter) have the interests in the working class in mind. The State apparatus serves Capital and the owning class. The Capitalist class can lobby, threaten capital flight, and grease the palms of political leaders through donations anytime they want to advocate for their side of the class struggle. Workers get a few elections where we are pandered to only in words. There will be no democracy until the working class owns the businesses and controls them through cooperatives, democratically. The CPC would do worse or the same for the material conditions of the working class as the LPC are doing. They are all cut from the same cloth. Anyone with a shred of intelligence understands that and knows to not fall for their baiting tactics to fight culture wars, but to fight class wars instead.

Harper finally came out of the closet after losing to Trudeau.

I watched videos when Stephen Harper was PM and he pretty much predicted what would happen if Trudeau became PM and he was right. The Stephen Harper days were so much better, Trudeau who said he would balance the budget before he was PM has yet to do that and Canadas debt has doubled since Trudeau been in office.
