Lol. She's adorable. Best harpy girl. I don't care if she's clumsy, she's cute. She's got a sweet personality and she's worthy to work where ever she deserves. *Hugs*
"Yes. My trees do in fact explode. Actually, we should go down stairs into the bunker. The tree you hit was on a delayed timer and will go boom in a few minutes."
She’s as light-hearted as the feathers on her wings. Such a birdbrain, very smart and aware of her faults (Birds as a whole are more intelligent than most other animals, so ‘birdbrain’ is actually a compliment).
How you manage to make every single one of these characters sound so vivid and genuine is beyond me. The vast majority of Voices have a certain style they always stick to, a sort of presence they can't hide no matter what personality type they are portraying. That little something that reminds you that these are *just* roleplays after all. You're one of the few who fools me pretty much every time 🥰 Very nice audio, it was super heartwarming and cozy ❤
Birds of a feather flock together, and my new harpy roommate is delivering joy into the cabin! Your emotive versatility is on display as always and fantastic as usual! Got a question sometime, by the way, if you've ever the time!
@@VanillaVelvetAudio I'm really bad about this kind of thing and I always chicken out so I'll go ahead and ask if you'd be interested in collaborating at some point before I erase and delete this entire message like the cowardly bird I am.
Sure! I'd definitely be open to collaborating at some point. Obviously my participation depends on what you have in mind and the script. I am also notoriously flaky and very shy so fair warning ahead of time about that. If it requires a zoom meeting or other real-time/regular communication to plan, my social anxiety just ain't gonna let it happen. Also just personally, I'm not really a fan of audios where two VAs get spliced together because the sound quality tends to be quite noticeably different no matter how much post production gets done. (Working with Juniper has been pretty great because we know each other IRL and can actually sit at the same mic together.) So when I open my channel to collabs and send out the call, I'm probably going to want to stick to either cameos on other channels, or scripts where I do one part of a storyline and my collaborator does another other part on their channel. (I've actually currently got a couple of scripts in the back of mind for exactly that sort of thing, but I'm trying to get back on track with regular uploads before I wade into a new project. I, uh, slightly burnt myself out last month ^^;) I think dual audio collabs are great for helping to drive traffic to other VAs, too, rather than gluing our files together and featuring their URL in the description. Like, hold part two hostage! "You gotta go check this person's channel if you want to hear the other half of this story!" 😆
Adorable, i could never get mad at her for being clumsy, and my heart shrinked a little when she felt like she had to explain why people did not give her a chance and also the "i'm expendable", poor adorable thing i'l be sure to give you lots of hugs....
I find myself surprised and impressed with how well you portray such vastly different characters and personalities, each one is astoundingly delectable. A journey into a world and I find myself wanting more. Great work!
I've heard this script before, but you have really made it your own here. Also I really enjoy the way you manage to hold a conversation without repeating what the listener's character says.
Thank you! A lot of ASMR scripts do that "repeating what the listener character says" thing and even if it's not my favorite creative choice, it's certainly easy to understand why writers do it with the roleplay format--especially with new writers who might not know any other techniques yet. I do try to integrate those lines a bit better in those cases, or at least make it sound more natural and conversational. After all, there's nothing that reminds the audience that they're listening to a scripted dialogue better than being told their own lines! This script didn't have much of that, though! I think most of the writers I select shy away from that particular technique for the most part, and that is one major reason why I love them.
Holy shit if I was alone I would be *screaming*. This was so adorable I almost couldn't handle it. All I was thinking was "Mari you absolutely precious cinnamon roll". Vanilla (Velvet? idk what you would prefer), your performance was impeccable. Listening to this just made my mood soar. Everything about this was amazing. So *obviously* your sound design is fucking great, this is you we're talking about. And then everything you did for the character was just top tier. Like I said before, you take these characters further than just the script and I love it. Your adlibs do such a great job of highlighting the traits of the character, as well as what *you* like about the character. And I just need to say that your "that's me, I'm available staff" damn near killed me. That had no business sounding as cute as it did. This fill was incredible. Thank you so so much for performing my writing yet again. It's lovely to know that you enjoy my scripts
Her: "Wow. Your shop looks so much bigger on the inside! It's like the ..." Me: "No. This shop was not constructed with Time Lord technology. Although, I would stay away from those very large metal doors over there if I were you and before you ask ... don't ask why or what's on the other side. In fact, just forget they even exist."
Let's see now. How can we make sure that dream comes true? First we have to start genetically engineering humans to be harpies... hmmm... Igor! To the lab!
All of your characters are so cute dude 🥰 I just want to hug them...except for the yandere stalker with the phone that one creeped me the fuck out lmao
Aww, but she would probably like hugs best of all!! 😍🔪 (Kidding! I'm kidding. Consider this my legal disclaimer. "CAUTION: CONTENTS DANGEROUS! Do not hug stabby yanderes! Doing so may result in excessive puncture wounds!")
Harpies were requested a few times and I loved this script too much not to do it. I mean, Mari is so cute, how could I help myself? I hope you enjoyed the audio!
I'd like to think of the alchemist as largely independent and only signed up to the service through a coupon or something. Just letting her live there with minimal obligation
Haha, sort of but not exactly. It was always the plan to have a nice mix of themes/characters this month; it just ended up that a bunch of yanderes got posted back to back. My original schedule was a lot more mixed--yandere one day, cute the next, slice of life the next, etc--but there were several scripts I planned to do initially that unfortunately didn't work out for one reason or another. The result was my scheduled audios were less diversified than I wanted. ^^;
I've considered it! I'm focusing on one shots at the moment while my channel becomes more established--which is letting me get an idea of what's successful, what people are hungrier for, that sort of thing. And while I generally feel series tend to have diminishing returns, I've definitely given it some thought. And thank you! I'm glad you liked it!
Haha, October has been three audios a week, so I've been doing a lot of spoiling lately! But that's about to change back to my once-weekly schedule. I got you hooked, now I make myself a scarce commodity! 😈 IT'S THE PERFECT PLAN!
So adorable, featherbrained and loveable!! 🥰 I can sense a great potential for a Martlet audio rp! (the gal from Undertale Yellow 💛) Also... what was the idea behind that one certain potion? 😉
You were the chosen one! You were supposed to help spoon manage his clumsiness, not add on to it! You were supposed to bring balance to spoon’s life, not accelerate the chaos!
