I have the Classic Culver Measure ($330 bucks) and my opinion they suck. The dial and numbers does not seem to correspond with any measurement. One click might gain you .1 grains or .05 grains. just depends...They also seem to drift once you get it dialed in. You have it dialed in to 50 grains and it will slowing start throwing above or below the weight. I know its not me because it will throw consistently above or below to whatever weight it decides to drift towards. if you want 50 grains, it will give you that and then after 10 throws you start getting a consistent 45 grains for 10 throws...then it will start to creep up and settle on 55 grains for a bit before wandering around again.

Basically this is just a recreation of the Lyman no. 55 powder measure. Love my old Lyman measure. Drops accurate enough to easily trickle up. Used to be an old benchrest shooter from back in the day that did some modifications to them and they are still some of the most accurate measures you can buy. They still bring prime money. The scale on them doesn't really correspond to a measure in drppoed charge. No powder measures do in fact. Unless you are only weighing 1 powder exclusively, it's impossible to set up a measure in grains. So it is and always will be impossible to do anything other than set numbers to give reference points, that you can get near your desired charge weight from a previous loading. Lyman 55 is a good accurate powder measure. So this thing should be also. If you just throw a charge and not weigh that's on you. People who want accurate loads weigh every single charge before it goes in the case. So griping about variances in charge weight is really a joke. You should always charge low and trickle up. Main complaint with these is stick powder. However, I haven't had any real issues getting it to throw way off. Usually throws 1-2 tenths all the time (that's where I have it set).

Ryan, you better let the benchrest community know about your findings. I’m sure they will be glad to hear it.
