My dad had a dairy and we would candle eggs before we would sell them to our customers. That was a can with a whole in the end and a light inside on the other end. Good luck with the chicken eggs.

I could almost smell that egg as you cracked it! I’ve considered getting some American Bresse for meat birds instead of Cornish Cross.

It was pretty rough! Lol we would like to eventually get the whole flock switched over. It's a process though.

I agree with your thought process with the chickens which I also have. I don't know anything about your goats but I was thinking they would be a good source of milk. My husband's not on board with the goats yet.

Do baby chickens nurse milk from the mama hen? I should goggle that. Oh, I think you just showed me how they eat baby food and water.

Only mammals lactate for their young. Birds hatch ready to eat solids.
