Vote early if you can. There are some concerns about polls on actual election day. Early votes are counted just as much, are counted ahead of time in many states, and if you wait until the last minute then sickness, car trouble, weather, etc., might keep you from voting.

If a president does something through executive order, it can just be changed within four years by whoever comes along next. We also saw how Trump's attempts to control immigration were blocked because they were unconstitutional. If Congress passes laws they are permanent and far-reaching, and they will create real change. Everyone was poised to do this and then Trump stormed in and stopped it all. What Biden has done now could be challenged in the courts because of how it's handling asylum seekers, but no one has done that yet. We don't want a dictator making these decisions about laws -- that is what Congress, i.e., lawmakers do.
