Over the previous year, surveys on young voters' preferred presidential candidates have shown considerable variation. Although the majority of recent polls indicate that young people are returning to their previous preferences for the Democratic nominee in the wake of Harris' ascent to the top of the ticket, these surveys paint differing images of the extent of Harris' lead with this demographic. Even in the last several days, national polling on the status of the campaign has found a margin among younger voters. Granted, not every pollster reports the same range of ages when analyzing younger voters’ preferences.
