No. Latinos are people born Latina America or born elsewhere with roots in LatAm most of who speak Spanish with the exception of Brazil and there’s still question as to whether Brazilians are Latinos in the context our shared Latino culture. Being born or having roots in the Caribbean does not make one a Latino. Especially when people are from French or English speaking countries such as Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados etc etc. Latino culture has nothing to do with Jamaican, Barbadian or other Caribbean culture with the exception of Cuba, Puerto Rico & the Dominican Republic. Why? Because those folks speak Spanish & they have a shared Latino culture that is shared with the rest of Latin America. ☺️

Spain fits, but not countries like Brazil or Jamaica. -Latinos are people from Central & South America, the Caribbean & Mexico (North America). This does not include Spain but does include Brazil & Jamaica. In this life, as long as you follow your goverment laws you can identify yourself/be whoever you want. If 1 of your parents is Caucasian american and 1 is jamaican you can identify as America, Latino, African or all of them. Is more of what culture do you like or identify yourself with. You can be white as a ghost, if one of your parents is from Africa and the other Caucasian, but you love the african culture you could identify yourself as african. If 1 or 2 of your parents are from Jamaica, then you can consider yourself Jamaican and even latino if you wish. But because Jamaica is an english speaking country there is a language barrier between latin american speaking countries and Jamaica. And since jamaicans dont really click with the US culture, they identify more as african rather than welcoming either the latino or american culture. In other words, Jamaica was placed in the Latino group since in North, Central & South america you are either Latino or Caucasian (USA & Canada), but they identify more as African than any of those two.
