In this video, I attempt to use a Harris RF-7800H-MP (Falcon 3) HF radio with an RF-5833H (Falcon 2) 150W amplifier base. It relies on an accessory called a "slice" to make the signal interface. Will it work???
The RF-7800H is the NATO equivalent of the AN/PRC-160.

Receiving gutted stuff from ebay happened to me several times, even with aircraft instruments. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. At leas you hava a bunch of unexpected spare parts now, and the case seems in very nice condition.

Interesting combo Eugene. Nice small radio, and these PA bases appear from time to time. I see a typo in the description, obviously you wanted to write AN/PRC-160, and is 150. If someone wanders, there is also radio marked as 7800M-MP, which is equivalent of AN/PRC-117G.

Hi Jim. Thanks for the correction! I made the update. Yes, check in my videos you'll see I also have the 7800M-MP which, as you correctly note, is the equivalent to the PRC-117G. Thanks for watching!
