It will be the second debate against a Democratic nominee for Trump this election cycle. For Harris, it is her first since she ascended to the position following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal. Whether they are genuine refugees, doesn't matter, you cannot just put massive amount of people in one area and tell the local people get used to it. Integration has to be part of it. And putting a massive amount of immigrants in one area all at once doesn't help integration

I completely agree. Integration/assimilation is a must. We really should have passed that bipartisan immigration reform largely drafted and sponsored by Republicans that Trump killed at the 11th hour because he wanted to campaign on immigration fearmongering. Had that legislation passed, we would now have a much easier means of curbing problems like these.

Voting democrat is nowadays voting open borders because its opposite of what Trump will do. 10yrs ago when a debate was going on the host would ask a question "what are you gonna do to protect our borders?" and both republicans and democrats would fight over who had a more secure border tactic. 2024 and for some reason they wont ask this vital question because its so divided.
