Right! Google Ellen Greensburg case and Shapiro. Chris Christie shuts down bridges and closes beaches so his family can swim privately. Josh Shapiro participates in a horrific murder coverup. Not equivalent, but similar integrity and values. Why can't decent people get ahead in politics? America needs to examine that!
From SF I believe Walz is the wisest. Kelly is darn successful and smart and a southern border state partner doesn’t hurt. But Walz seems unifying. We shall see.
I think it depends on the interviews. Tim Walz is good, but ultimately putting two unknown candidates in a swing state that's trending red is what she has to decide to gamble with.
I like Walz bc as a coach, he can motivate the bench sitters. Shapiro won't get more votes for Harris in PA; rather, he'd motivate the gun clutching Bible thumpers outside of the cities.
Gov. Joshua Shapiro (D-AIPAC) volunteered to serve in the genocidal occupying Israeli army. Shapiro did not serve in the US army, he SERVED APARTHEID ISRAEL instead. Shapiro’s Wikipedia page omits this disgusting fact and the US media is covering it up
😂😂😂😂😂😂❗️I like that Chris has⚽️⚾️🥎🏀🏀🏐🏈🏉s to STAND UP TO THE ORANGE TOAD. I JUST DON'T SUPPORT HIS SHAPIRO NOTION ....AT THIS TIME. MINNESOTA BABY....ALL THE WAY TO THE "DOUBLE O"/ OVALOFFICE. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💙💙💙💙💙💙💙❗️
Seeing as how he is the governor of PA and it's one of the most purple states in the nation I would actually say Shapiro does represent a majority of Americans.
@@TheRogBG just the state he comes from isn't enough. Walz is far more everyman. Shapiro doesn't need to be VP to help carry PA - and historically picking a VP hasn't helped carry a state so that's not a good enough reason. Walz is much more approachable, matter of fact, and better at a turn of phrase - he came up with "they're weird" that everyone else has followed
@@JamesFaction walz is from a state that leans blue Shapiro is from PA which is about as purple as you can get. This means Republicans even voted for Shapiro which about as everyman as you can get which is what Kamala needs to win
@@TheRogBG doesn't matter. That doesn't really prove that Walz is less electable. Look at what Walz is like, how he comes across. He is actually just like most people. Look at Walz' record of achievement: a hugely progressive list of policies passed, with a 1-seat majority. Shapiro compromises, Walz gets things DONE. Walz is a better speaker, and a better doer, and is better at coming across to the common man. Shapiro's speeches are Obama impersonations. Just put a photo of Obama on the screen while you listen to him. It's uncanny... but also kinda lame. Walz is himself. Walz for VP.
I agree. And it almost seems threatening, if you don't pick Shapiro you're not going to win PA. Wouldn't he still make the same effort for Harris as governor?
I did not know who Shapiro or Walz were before last Friday, so I checked them out and oh my God…Walz is awesome?!! I think he is the kind of man that could unite us ALL, not just democrats, I think he would even be able to pull from Trump! People just need to listen to him…but the media just keeps pushing for Shapiro, which makes me uncomfortable and suspicious, frankly.
Sen. Kelly has drawbacks. Not only would we lose his seniority in the Senate, but given that he didn't vote for the PAST Act, and isn't a strong union supporter, veterans and union members may not support the ticket.
Who say we were listening? He is just a guest on a show. Christie knows Trump well, so I think it is fun listening to him. It's a free country, and I like listening to some Republicans as long as they are too extremists.
Walz has a strong record of accomplishment as Governor of Minnesota. He also aligns really well with Harris's goals. He's more likeable, & will help deliver the Rust Belt, Midwest, and Independent voters. We need Kelly to keep his seat in the Senate, and keep an eye on things.
GOVERNOR TIM WALZ BY A MILE...WIDER APPEAL, LESS BAGGAGE, BETTER FIGHTER, SPEAKER, SUPPORTS THE WORKING CLASS,FAMILIES, AND WILL BACK UP KAMALA BEST. CHRISTIE WAS AN EARLY TRUMP SUPPORTER...HOW DID THAT WORK OUT?
Take the caps lock off dude. I doubt she will win a state over a VP pick. She does need to pick someone that is more moderate than her to signal she is willing to govern from the center. Also, people change. Vance was an early Never Trumper too - just sayin'.
@@fintan9218 Harris a centrist? LOL I suppose that depends where you put the midpoint of American politics. I don't see her as that. Maybe Biden, but not Harris. While not as bad as AOC, those on the right paint her as a far lefty.
@@mikefuller363 Walz is so much better. I mean Shapiro would be fine.... and her and anyone on that "short list" would be miles better than Trump/Vance but just Harris Walz would be even better.

@JacobSolbux I can comprehend an argument without agreeing with it or liking the person delivering the message. What's that saying? A broken clock... Dem party needs to step up and stop moving us more to the center and capitulating to the right. Either way I'm voting 💙
@1tonio567 sorry, separate thoughts. I'm just ready to hear the pick and then we can move on to voting. Actions matter more anyhow, so ready to see what's next.
I think she needs to pick Andy Beshear, he's a democrat who can get up in front of a conservative audience and actually explain democratic positions and policy without immediately being labeled a communist
It really boils down to this: Personality or Policy. Currently recession is looming, rent's up, mortgage's up, groceries up, war in Ukraine, war in the middle east and these people aren't talking about it.
he's more relevant that trump has ever been....Christie won 4 re-elections.... was the former attorney general.... in a heavily blue state... he is far more accomplished and respected than trump will ever be in this life time... trump is the repeated loser...
@@karenryder6317 Her campaign knows that, but my worries is a lot of the money she got is tied up in her picking Shapiro. Its true he would likely win them Pennsylvania, but would also lose them Michigan. Walz is who i want, but I have a feeling it was always going to be Shapiro.
Minnesota will already be a Blue win. go Shapiro to take PA, or else the election is at risk. Take a look at what needs to happen in the swing states for either candidate to win. This is what is most important
Debates are about as relevant as a beauty pageant. Although it does give the media something new to talk about in an already to long of an election process.
I think he's looking at it from the standpoint of which candidate the GOP fears the most. I heard other conservative never Trumpers make this point. That's why I think they're saying this, unless they're blatantly lying.

@brucetownsend691 Too bad Trump didn't increase taxes on the poor back when he was president, plus his website clearly says that he proposes even more tax cuts for seniors and blue collar workers...
"A handful of white men..." Why is it okay for him to focus on race? Everyone, and I mean everyone, is so goddamn hypocritical. If race is not a factor, don't highlight it AT ALL, on either side.
Racial identity is at the heart of the Republican platform. Trump has spoken, his cult obeys. Racial categorization by law, like back when America was 😉"great"😉. (Wht sprmcy, regardless of how you look at it, was a codified thing)
who said "race is not a factor"? - it is a factor and to deny that is great ideology, but unrealistic. There will be racists in this country until the end of time. It's just a fact of life. People are afraid of people who are different than them. It takes parents who are not racist to raise kids who are not racist - it has to start somewhere and that's the best place.
@@noah1017 He's done a good job rehabilitating his image post-Trump. Check out his interviews with Colbert. I would never suggest he be governor again though.
@Noah you must be an irrational progressive voter who thought Hilary losing in 2016 was a win. Chris Christie has never lost an election while running in a blue state. And if the VP doesn't come off as moderate, she loses plain and simple.
But NOT WHY he's endorsing? DUH DUH America is filled with uneducated children pretending to be adults who think opinion matters more the substance. It's not what one's believes but why they believe it. What university did you graduate from? What branch of the military did you serve in?

It's all about the independents and moderates at this point - everyone else has decided already.
What a shocker, Christie is looking for his next meal ticket. He is willing to change his views to agree with whoever is willing to hire him. The only constant with this man is that he hates Trump. No matter what. Few people respect this clown.

She said she wants someone with executive experience (a governor) and someone she's comfortable with (she's known and worked with Shapiro for years when they were both their states Attorneys General). I agree a more moderate person is helpful even if I disagree with some of that person's choices. Everyone being considered is light years better than Trump, but she needs PA more than any other swing state.
I don’t know. She is kind of dumb. Pity we can not have Dianne Feinstein. She made her own career and decisions, and was not a lightweight getting a free ride from powerful men.
We the public are not tired of questioning people's backgrounds Ms. Brazile, to some degree we need to vet peoples coming into and those who are in the political arena. Too many unqualified individuals sneaking into the system.
Shapiro, has major drawbacks. Plus, he's very rehearsed & calculated, which comes off fake & phony, instead of natural & genuine. He's very off-putting. Lots of people voicing their dislike for him, on every platform I've been on. Tim Walz, is overwhelmingly the favorite. I agree Chris Christie should butt out; he just wants to be on the winning side. I, however, am pleased Tim Walz for Vice President is looking a real contender. Kamala does not need to make Josh Shapiro her vice president in order to bring Pennsylvania on board, since she is now leading in Pennsylvania. Shapiro’s a divisive figure and fanatically pro-Israel with a great deal of baggage, he CANNOT unite the Party across ALL age groups and ALL sections. Kamala needs to send a strong message to Young People, Uncommitted, African Americans, Palestinian Americans and Arab Americans that she WILL continue to see Palestinians as human beings, with a right to self-determination and the right to live without fear. She WILL NOT remain silent. She WILL pursue the 2-State Solution to its conclusion and not be a Netanyahu walkover like Biden. I also believe Shapiro is highly ambitious. I do NOT believe he will fully support Kamala over the next four years, but he will be competing and trying to outshine her for ultimately the top job, instead of unfailingly supporting her. John Fetterman is RIGHT, Josh Shapiro would be the WRONG choice. Kamala must not spoil things now she’s on an upward trajectory to victory.💪 ON TO FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY IN NOVEMBER. NO TO PROJECT 2025. VOTE BLUE, VOTE KAMALA. 💙💙💙
Brazile did not give Hillary anything before the debate. Hillary didn't need to review any of the questions. She already knew the answers back & forth already. Gov Christie is an AMERICAN first and if you can't see past your hatred of the others, you're on the wrong team...
I agree with your point but she could also lose some Jewish votes to Trump if she takes too sympathetic a view to Gaza. I think Shapiro could be a strategic choice, she can take a more pro-Gaza position and Shapiro can be more pro-Israel and try to get the best of both worlds, that's my instinct at least
@onehappybuddhist I agree with this, but Shapiro does carry baggage IMO. I assume she's not stupid so she'll make a choice based on she feels she can best rounds out the ticket, but Shapiro is not weakness free, being staunchly pro-Isreal, pro school voucher, and a less than squeaky clean environmental record may leave the Democratic base less than comfortable, and he does have some sexual assault allegations which could be problematic. However, he does have the ability to bridge to moderates/independants that could be the decider in this election which is a game of inches. I'm sure her and her campaign advisors are aware of all this political calculus and will make the decision they view as best for the campaign. If I had my preference, I'm still in the pro-Scott Kelly camp. But no choice is ever going to be perfect, you just have to pick to maximize to the best of your ability electability and pragmatic ability to do the job.
I trust the pro-Palestinian, anti-Gaza war voters are not single issue people that they’d ignore many other major issues in this election and risk either not voting or voting the other way and allow a hard line, Islamophobic authoritarian regime to take over America. That regime totally supports Netanyahu’s extreme right wing policies in Israel and the tragic Gaza conflict. The people of Israel and Jews abroad are divided over Netanyahu and his policy in handling the Palestinian conflict. He does not support a 2-state solution. Shapiro’s is openly critical of Netanyahu’s policies and he support a 2-state solution as many in Israel and abroad do-which puts him in the camp of the pro-democracy faction in Israel. His moderate policy positions and effective governing style is the reason why he’s won over independents, moderate Republicans in PA…which will appeal to similar voters in neighboring Michigan and Wisconsin and blunt Ohio’s Vance’s appeal in the region.
@@briandubois-gilbert8182 why needlessly antagonize them? you want to motivate voters not discourage them. shapiro would discourage and suppress the youth vote, the pro-justice, pro-palestine, peace in gaza constituencies. choose anyone but shapiro. and NO, HE IS NOT critical of bebe. i don't even recall him saying in anything but the most tepid way that israel has gone too far. if anything he's stopped short of even that milquetoast assessment. yes, while his op-ed of 30 years ago was/is concerning, it is difficult to see that his view has changed. btw, in a lot of ways i think the reflex to say, oh, it's because he's jewish, ie. it's anti-Semitic, is a bit disingenuous, and ignores the details--- a common tactic when weaponizing the term. it's the same tactic that zionists use. rather than acknowledging that one can be pro-jewish, but anti-israel, and it's war crimes, to even speak up against it in anyway is called anti-semetic, when it is NOT. in fact, this was a tactic that shapiro himself used, when he THREATENED BEN & JERRY'S for refusing to sell their ice cream in jewish settlements... in 2021. a mere THREE YEARS AGO. referring to B&J's BDS policy-- boycott, divestment and sanctions-- a non-violent tactic to pressure israel to stop some of it's racist policies-- shapiro said BDS was, quote, 'rooted in anti-semitism.' essentially smearing a company that was founded and lead by jews. so clearly he isn't above weaponizing anti-semitism, even when it's non-violent. then there's this: " After the horrific Hamas attack of last Oct. 7, several dozen Pennsylvania-based Muslim groups wrote a letter protesting Gov. Shapiro’s one-sided comments: “Not only did you fail to recognize the structural root causes of the conflict," they argued, "you chose to intentionally ignore the civilian loss of life in Gaza.” Responding to the letter after Israeli bombs and missiles had killed more civilians in Gaza than had been killed by Hamas in Israel on Oct. 7." a comment that shapiro didn't even think justified a response, instead leaving it to a spokesman, who of course, did little more than defend israel. :or this: "Last December, after he amplified the Capitol Hill demagoguery of Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., a MAGA loyalist, Shapiro contributed to the firing of the University of Pennsylvania president. Shapiro said of Penn's leader: “I thought her comments were absolutely shameful. It should not be hard to condemn genocide.” By then, after two months of Israeli bombing, more than 17,000 Gazans had been killed, most of them women and children. Later that month, Israel was charged with violations of the Genocide Convention in South Africa’s filing at the International Court of Justice." yet, he remained AND IS STILL utterly silent on the Palestinian genocide that continues to this day. btw, i personally don't think shapiro's comments re: the protests *were* justified. most of the protests had nothing to do with anti-semitism, and often went to great lengths to distance themselves from it. the problem, is that rabidly pro-zionist news outlets like NYT, assumed the protests were anti-semetic, before even sending correspondents. there was actually a memo that talked about how there was an editorial meeting at the NYT that talked about how they decided to cover the protests, with the slant being anti-semitism. there are a lot of topics i will trust the NYT on, but covering anything that hast to do with israel is NOT one of those topics. especially after their HORRIBLY INACCURATE coverage of october 7th with it's numerous fabricated stories of atrocities. their willingness to believe anything Zaka-- a zionist propaganda organization known for fabricating stories out of whole cloth-- should be a red flag for anyone who follows anything happening in israel or the occupied territories. or this: "In early April, after Democratic governors in other states had called for a ceasefire in Gaza, Muslim leaders in Philadelphia criticized Shapiro for his refusal to do so." and he still refuses. all of these things have happened in the last 3 years. so you see, there's a bit more than "it's cos he's jewish." it's because like so many, he refuses to be an honest broker where israel is involved. it is because he happily weaponizes the term anti-semite to further the injustice that israel is perpetrating on lands it occupies. it is because he looks the other way, and is silent while civilians are killed..... unless they are israeli. considering the ongoing israeli apartheid, the starvation in gaza, the collective punishment of paletinians, and confiscation of land in the west bank for jewish settlements, in discriminate bombings of civilians, journalists and NGOs this is an issue for those of us who care about the lives of palestinians, and the injustices they are being made to bear.
If you are going to say something like that you need to explain yourself Shapiro could tip Pennsylvania, a key swing state, in favor of Harris I like Kelly as well, but it would most likely cost the Democrats a senate seat in Arizona and I don't know how popular he is in Arizona to be able to tip the state in favor of a Harris/Kelly ticket I would like her to pick Buttigieg, but that isn't going to happen He has the skills and smarts to be a great leader, but he won't give Harris any voters that she doesn't already have He would be better of taking Secretary of State in a Harris administration and set him up for running for president in 2032
