She is exciting a wide swath of voters, with so much enthusiasm for her. Hillary never had this level of support, not to this emotional degree. People are waking up and listening to her message. I actually don't know anyone who did that. But I do know people that just don't care about politics, don't follow it, think both parties are the same, don't really understand how government functions or what the history of the US is and means, etc. It's those apathetic non-voters that really need to get "woke" and I'm not sure how to make that happen, other than war. Trumpers are only 30% of eligible voters. There are more _non-voters_ than there are people who will vote for Trump. But they aren't up for grabs, because they don't occupy the same space as everyone else, we can't reach them.... Trying to talk to them about politics only serves to annoy them. Any ideas? Imagine if we could activate THAT demographic..... It could be the end of the GOP forever and anything that even remotely looks like it.

This is the first time I’ve been hopeful for an election in my life, my dad’s a conservative Republican (he’s a never Trumper thank God) who fed me a lot of anti-Obama rhetoric as a child so I was super anxious both times he won the presidency. Yes there was complacency in 2016. No one in their right mind would vote for trump. Turns out 46.7% of America was out of their minds. I believe that # is a bit smaller this time around and Harris will "get out the vote". I've expected a one-term Biden presidency ( for the obvious reason) and a handoff to Harris for the entire term. Not sure it was a weird turn of events. What else is there with Trump? I believe it was a well-played strategy, waiting until after the RNC and Trump's selection of lap dog. When I told my son, who was going to vote 3rd party, that Biden dropped out and Harris was running in his place his face and reaction was surprising but so great! He said "We have a chance now". He was so relieved! And he's not the only person I know who feels that way! Harris 2024!!!

I want to wear a shirt from Costco with a US flag, but my kids think I am for Trump. I am not for Trump. I don't understand how we let one political party own the right to our flag. Our US flag stands for many great things we achieved and the possibility of future great things we will achieve. I am so upset that having a US flag on my shirt somehow means that I am for Trump.

The democrats seem borderline anti-American to me. All I hear them say is that we are a hateful and bigoted country. I also believe that their policies are destructive to America. Also, the conservatives have more respect for the flag as a symbol for the country. You’ll never see a conservative burning flags. On the other hand, flag destruction is not uncommon at liberal protests / riots. I do agree that the flag should be for everyone, we should all take pride in our country! 😊

Harris looked humbled and genuinely grateful for the crowd support, rather than entitled. Really hope this momentum stays up. The fact that so many prominent figures in the party have thrown support behind her rather than throw their hats in the ring is definitely a positive at this stage - and for all we knew last week, could easily have gone the other way!
