52 isn't old for a man. Unless u really let urself go its nothing. I shouldn't "man" plenty of great looking 50 something women as well. Be healthy and maintain a good weight and u will look good into ur 70's.
Mike T agreed. Don’t drink too often, moisturize, stay out of the sun, work out or do yoga regularly, take a nap everyday, and be kind to yourself and others. You’ll stay looking good for awhile longer, and your energy level will be high.
Ford should have won the Oscar for Witness. It was his first nomination, but suched a layered performance. His scene at the end confronting his corrupt police captain is powerful.
Yes. I think the movie should have won best picture too. Out of Africa - one of the most overrrated movies won. And Ford lost to William Hurt who won because he played a gay man who kisses a man in a film.
REGARDING HENRY...I thought I was the only one who saw that movie like 10 times, cried always, and was 1 of my 2 favorite of Harrison's. The other one (I have the soundtrack of actually) is SABRINA.
What I love about him is he's so genuine and humble like when he said he was just grateful to have a job, and he doesn't get carried away by his fame but he's a really good actor if you watch the drama movies he did like Regarding Henry and Witness.
In my opinion, Harrison Ford I'd one of the most charismatic actors about. As you say, he has so many great traits, and that all combine to make him magnetic when listening to
If he wasn't really, really uncomfortable about that first movie revelation he sure acted that part well! As for that Jack Ryan movie mentioned later, I hadn't heard of it, and it does sound like something very realistic, especially as I'm in Colombia and trying to figure out how to get out of here!
Harrison’s aged amazingly. He was 52 during this interview. I hope I look half as good when I’m that age. He’s now like in his late 70s and still looks great
If you observe his body language (constant fidgeting, eyes darting across the audience, trying to keep his hands busy either clasping a mug or straightening his jacket), and compare that to his level voice and deadpan humour, you realise that this is actually a rather nervous man who does not at all feel at home in front of a large audience, but who is nevertheless trying very hard to play cool. To me it's very endearing to see that a man who played such strong, resolute, iconic characters, is a man after all.
@@joelschmole Either way, from a scientific perspective, we wouldn't know for sure, until we tested him in a tete-a-tete interaction, away from large crowds. If you do meet him, let me know. Oh, and also tell him that I also want to talk to him. ☺️😁
Yea you definitely pick up on his ticks and stuff when doing interviews. I think he seemed a little more relaxed during this on than in previous interviews
Harrison Ford seemed pretty cool to me every time someone like Jay Leno would give him an interview back then. He'll easily always be one of my favorite cinema icons.
You say true! Owewhelmed commenting here Not! Luke is basically my Idol As far as that goes. Im born 1982. I have said it somewhere else I say agai here. It is a privelage to have Solo and the princess and Skywalker as my automatic default favourites and the team that made it was sooo on the spot!. I see so far still they are all excellent persons! Thank you!!!!
I agree. I've had very few celebrity "crushes"....but Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, and Sam Elliott rank right up there. I went to Disney World in the '80s and I wanted to sneak that Harrison Ford wax figure out and put it in my car sooooo bad!!! I wanted to go back to my little home town and drive around with Harrison Ford in my little red convertible and REALLY give 'em something to TALK about!!!! LOL
Hey guys, (2 years later) try to watch any interviews with Ford and Ryan Gosling, especially one done in London Oct 4 2017, by Alison Hammond, also on Graham Norton show. Ford completely loses it!
I heard Harrison Ford went into acting to cure his shyness. I could still see it being a shy person myself but he is such a good actor you don't notice it.
I admire Harrison Ford immensely. His movies are always worth seeing and his marriage is one of the stable and genuine love stories in present Hollywood. A class act!
Harrison ford is my favorite actor. I’ve seen most of his movies. Clear and present danger is very realistic. It makes you think. They don’t make them like they use it.
Turns 80 in July of next year. I've been watching him since my brother took me to see Star Wars in 1977. Seen most all of his stuff, even "Deadheat on a Merry-go-round" and a "Gunsmoke" episode. Missed "What Lies Beneath". Don't do spooky stuff. Got cured of that with "Poltergeist", thank you very much, Steven.
I think Ford is that classic, awkward, introverted personality that got into acting for various reasons. I haven't seen a lot of his interviews, but usually he is very quiet and uncomfortable. Obviously doing the things because the studios mandate them.
De no haber sido actor el cine habria perdido a un gran actor, pero por suerte el cine le llamó y disfrutamos de sus interpretaciones e inolvidables personajes
You can see Ford was so uncomfortable through the whole interview. Very honest to getting one of his early chances brought to light. I wish we could have seen the clips. So different than our late night who idolize their guests. Old records like this will always get more and more rare.
Covid, thanks very much for the clip, Very thoughtful of you.......... Telerian, that's not 'uncomfortable '........... it's honest humility. Ford is as grand a fellow as Cary Grant was in his day.
Patriot games and the other one Clear and Present Danger both his best work next to The Fugitive and the Indian Jones Movies. when any person sees them they will agree these are worth keeping go beyond anything else. I'm gonna say the Indian movies were the first I've seen before blade Runner.
I love watching movies with Harrison Ford acting in them. I have seen more movies with him in them than probably any other lead actor (including actresses). It's not because I have a thing for him because I don't. And I don't think I remember him as any one character the most. He seems to defy being typecast as just Han or just Indiana. The other actor I have seen in a lot of movies is Arnie. But Arnold Schwarzenegger to me is always going to be remembered as The Terminator above all his other roles.
Are you kidding? Every one of those movies: We came to see H. F. ....And then brought our friends, (so we could savor it again)... and then rented the videos... and still own dvds our kids love too. Harrison Ford is a Rite of Passage. Long live The King.
Maybe.... But I saw this story from his chauffeur that Harrison use to get high before going to a interview don't know if that is true but who knows in his interview's he looks kinda high Lol.
He does look really good here. He was born in Chicago, went to Main West High School, and graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin. I could not believe that his major was Philosophy. He took his first acting class when he was a Senior. When he started as an actor, he was not happy with roles he had, and he took up carpentry, because he had a family to support In YouTybe they have the screen test of Harrison Died reading for Hans Solo. You can see why he got the part. He was 30 something then.
Hyuk hyuk hey everybody I’m jay leno I screwed over Conan and own 85 cars, been a comedian for 40 years without getting a laugh. That big ole chin has been the resting place place of a lot of hairy sacks to get where he got
