Shrink tube or Japanese shrink rubber, is a useful material for making fishing rod grips. This guide shows how it can be used to make a carp rod grip at home without any special tools.
Is this shrink a type of polyolefin or is it much tackier than typical run of the mill shrink ? The overwhelming majority of shrink tubing is NOT very tacky feeling it's OK but doesn't have that sticky grip feeling that so many desire in the perfect rod grip . Winn industries offerings have that super tacky feel but it's a completely different material and not nearly as durable as Shrink.
I've a set of aviators had them 18months .my whipping are going milky/white is there anything I can do to sort this out. I've been told it's damp getting underneath.thanks Pete.
When you wrap over and epoxy the end of the shrink tubing, are you wrapping onto the tubing or on the blank? Do you just wrap directly on the blank directly up to the shrink tubing and then epoxy over the edge alittle?
