Mincemeat is a combination of chopped dried fruits, spices, sugar, nuts, distilled spirits, a fat of some type and sometimes meat. The name is a carryover from 15th century England when mincemeat did indeed have meat in the mix; in fact, the whole point of mincemeat was to preserve meat with sugar and alcohol.....hope that helps Hannah dearest 🤪👩🍳🌸🤔👩🍳🌸

I’m American but in the 80s my mothers husband worked often abroad. When in London he’d pick up pieces of Port Merion Botanic Garden from Harrods . Now every year at Christmas time she gifts me a few pieces from her vast collection. The opulence you’ve shown us here makes me nostalgic for the elegant, abundant holidays of my youth . Thank you 🎄

It does appear they are going all out this year. As far as lack of pricing on product, the golden rule I learned in my brief foray into retail; It doesn't move without a price. My husband and I visited UK and Harrod's about 10 years ago. Harrod's had a baby grand piano on the floor that cost more than my four-bedroom, two floor home in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Which wasn't all that cheap, actually. But I loved visiting the store!

I am a little shocked and saddened that Harrods has self check out. I am so tired of working my regular 8 hour job and then have to check my groceries out myself. Last time I checked I don't work for the grocery store or Walmart. It is just sad for me. Now on a happier note...I love the Harrods beauty, I am amazed how beautiful it is and how lucky you are to get to see it in person.

Hello Miss Hannah! Thank you for another great video. We actually were in there 4 days ago. Was in total awe of the entire place especially the food halls. I wanted everything in sight. My sister was laughing at me saying all my Hannahisms….chocky bits, beige bits…thanks again. Have safe travels wherever you may be going.

Oh what a treat this is!! Brit born; left after the War when very young. Finally returned for vacation in ‘91 and I still remember how I stared at the Food Hall!! I was in heaven amongst the high-end perfumes. I’ll never get back now so coming upon this vlog on Christmas Eve has brought me SO much pleasure … thank you, Hannah!! Like you, I’m in love with beautiful packaging and displays. 🇨🇦 PS: Can you, or a viewer, tell me when did they remove the pheasants, fruits, etc. that were displayed along the ceiling in the Food Court? Incredible, just incredible. There is such an assortment at Harrod's you really have two problems. First one is selecting which item that you want to buy and the second is figuring out how you will pay for it! Another great vlog from the Vlogmas Queen and we still have a few weeks to go! That big biscuit at tge half way point of your video, looks like the Dutch version of Santa Claus....Sinterklaas, and the biscuit is called Speculaas in Dutch. I remember being at Harrods in 1996, and they had Sinterklaas chocolat and candy in there as well. So funny. LOVED this one big time
I enjoy luxury chocolates myself, to say the least, but the cheaper alternatives are not bad at all. I am currently enjoying the chocolate bars from Aldi and they are excellent in their own way. For an analogy, you cannot do better than a Porsche, but a Ford is still going to get you from A - Z and if a Ford is our fate, is not something to complain about! (Granted, some are living in total poverty which is different from not being able to afford luxury.) Thank you for the video. It was epic!

Me and my Parter go to Harrods when we visit London have not been for a long time we like going at Christmas see all the decorations it is expensive but you pay for nice Quality 🎄

LOVE your vids Hannah! I moved out of London recently, but still enjoy catching up with London stores. My fondest memory of Harrods, is back in the '80's a friend visited from the States and we took my Mum there for a visit and we all had a pot of tea, and even to this day, I will say it was THE best cup of tea I have ever had, after 34 years! I remember the 'north pole/father xmas walk' (which was free and open to everyone back then..) and it was SO magical, especially with a young child in tow. Cheers Hannah ! 😀
