Hi Emily. I've had my kindle for 4 years now and I've found it is such a great addition. I've never heard anything about the library card thing but I do have Kindle Unlimited which makes some books free to borrow and others are discounted. It is a subscription but it is not the most expensive one. Been loving your vlogs, keep up the amazing work. ❤❤

In the US we can rent kindle books from our local library with our library card. I also have Kindle Unlimited for $10/month I can have up to 10 books checked out at any time. It’s usually older books that are just a few $ to buy so It may not be worth it for you.

In the US we have Libby where we can use our library cards to get audio books or kindle to borrow. Also, you can pay to use some other libraries around the country.

Wasn't expecting you back so soon, but honestly, I'm not really surprised. This year, I had the goal to read 30 books and have ended up reading 48 so far. I'd set a lower goal than what you think because then when you do go over your goal, it feels kinda nice. Maybe have your goal be to read 15 to 20 books, which means you can take up to 3 weeks reading 1 book. Love from the Netherlands.

Ahhh welcome to the kindle world!! I think the app you're looking for is called Libby - tho I haven't tried it myself here in the UK. Buuut there is also kindle unlimited which is about £10 a month but you get access to tons of books which I love ☺ In terms of a reading goal, 20 sounds fab - I'm committing to 30 again this year but have also set myself the goal of at least 1 non-fiction book a month so we will see how that goes 😂 xx

The not doing a ‘what I got for Xmas’ vid thing makes total sense. A few ppl I watch haven’t this year and noted it feels weird. Defo a smart choice with the cost of living crisis ongoing. I bought myself too many Temu things to brighten my home on Credit and my partner got gig tickets for him and a friend - that was it for Xmas and we pay it off by June, so I’d be jealous too 😂

For a tenner a month u can get kindle unlimited as long as u read 3 ish books you’ve covered the price. Rn it is free fora few months would recommend ❤

Kindle unlimited it’s £9 something a month but definitely worth it if you read a lot. Comes in handy for me with over 200 books so far this year 😂

When you buy the kindle there is something called kindle unlimited for £9.49 a month then you can read books from the kindle store, you can have so many books at a time then you return the books after you have read them and then you can get more after. I don’t think you can buy kindle unlimited after you have brought the kindle like an extra add on. Hope this helps

Book recommendations I really enjoy Colleen Hoover, most of her books are dark romance/thriller so get a lot of controversy but I find them really easy to read, especially Verity, it ends with us and too late, but if you prefer something a bit lighter the 7 husbands of Evelyn Hugo or Book lovers by Emily Henry I also enjoyed this year 😊

Those glasses really freak me out as you have no idea who is recording you and where you are being recorded, it’s actually quite scary especially if they fall into the wrong hands
