I really like the range they released. I ordered myself the Magnums it's a dart I always wanted to try. The original is really a perfect allrounder for everyone in my opinion. Good review as always Darren
Also, isn’t it a little ironic that we call this the “Bristow grip,” when the man himself barely touched the ringed grooves on his darts. Maybe he did when he got older, but in his prime he always seemed to hold only the point and where the stem meets the barrel
LOL yeah I have said that often over the years, could have had any straight barrel dart, probably would not have made much difference as long as the dimensions were the same :)

These look very appealing, although I suspect the dreaded 'smooth section' would be just in the wrong spot and not suited to my grip. 😄 I am eagerly awaiting the review of the Atlantis.
thanks for showing this neat set well thrown I bought myself a new set today, what a set, what a nice set, super grip TARGET 975 ULTRA MARINE 02 SWISS POINT 97.5% in 23 grams I threw it for 20 minutes, you really have to get used to that grip that grip really goes into your fingers thanks for the good review

Great review as usual, Dazza! So what era EB are these, please? I remember as a kid order Durro version and Lowe from the catalogue - probably Gratton!!! Having child sized hands, the Lowe's won out, even though I really wanted a super slim dart. I found them too long at the time with the set they came with.
Thanks for the reviews! But...about that throwing form. I've never seen someone go so far on the backswing to where they hit themselves in the shoulder/collar with the flights. That backswing is also highly inconsistent. You also appear to change your grip slightly at the end of the backswing, then actually seem to flip/flick the dart out of your fingers instead of simply releasing it. There's a sound that goes with it every time. You also push your head forward then pull it back during your throw. If you eliminate all that extra motion and make things more consistent it will help.
LOL I know, I have many problems, its down to various injuries and nerve damage over the years, not a lot I can do, some days it works very smooth and consistent but some days it feels like I cant hold the dart right or get any power, my throw is not the same as it was before I had injuries but its about the best I can do these days :) I have spent last 10 years trying to learn to throw again, struggled with it often and some dartitis issues also. The flick is part of what my original throw was like, it was a kind of short flicky style like Bob Anderson, I got good with it then but wrist problems made it painful so tried to change. Then I badly broke my shoulder. Re-started 18 months later but could not even reach the board. Never had much feeling or power in the throw. Had a lot of physio to get some kind of strength back but it was slow progress. Then I broke my hand which still causes me problems and pain and sometimes my fingers are kind of numb. But this year I have improved a little more than previous years, had more 180's but because of all my issues I cant really practice much more than around 30 mins to 45 mins a day depending how I am. I used to play around 3 hours a day years ago and was a lot better then :)
LOL the amount of times people ask me for Wez Newton darts, wish I had bought lots of spare ones now lol. I dont know any that are an exact match but there is plenty that have some similarities, one of the close ones are probably the Legend Darts Pro Series - V6 - Multi Ringed, I think the Red Dragon Defenders were quite close except for a smooth band, but dont see them on the RD site now, so maybe they stopped making them too? Designa Warfare M1 have similar grip but not a tapered nose. Failing all that, you could always get a custom set made :)
What are the dimensions compared to the cocked finger? Can you post that? Also, I lost my cocked fingers a while back and bought Bristow's about 13 yrs. ago to replace. Which I still use. I'd like to know the dimensions compared to them. Them just have Bristows name engraved where there is no knurling. 22g by the way.
They should do a similar version of the old "cocked hand" Bristows. My old 20 g set, is only 45.5 mm long, and flies fantastically. Also : This normal 48 mm 22g = Rob Cross and first Glenn Durant dart.
@@DartsReviewChannel Cocked finger off course! I had a darting buddy, back in the early 90s who threw 26 g. Cocked finger Bristows. I believe they were almost as short as my 20g. ( 45,5 )
They could've made the knurled barrels that Eric used. I like all those darts they've released now though. Although, am I missing the Dennis Priestley's?
@@DartsReviewChannel You're right. I've just compared the pictures and these new Boxers are Priestley's. In my 1998 Harrows brochure the Priestley's are presented separately to Boxers. The Parallel barrels were sold as Boxers and the Bomb barrels were sold as Priestleys. Strangely even then and now only in 22, 24 and 26g while Dennis used much lighter darts, iirc.
@@sonnyhenriksen284 yes, for some reason I always thought he threw a dart that was at least 50mm. I have the cross gen 1s and they seem tiny to me. But hey, I guess it’s good to learn something new every day
I dont know, seems there is some debate over that over the years, my 22g Cocked finger darts have 14 rings, these I think I counted 13 but the one in the 1985 dart world mag had 15?
