If the average of polls were showing Harris was up 10 points in MI, WI and PA I'm pretty sure they'd be reporting it. If they're telling you it's a close race it's because that's what the numbers keep showing.

Polls are unpredictable and you never know if its Republican or Democrat that their polling? All you have is the word of whatever station you watch and every poll is different. I don't know why Ian Sam's refused to give a direct answer to that follow-up question of “when will be the right time for Harris to say if she supports Ukraine joining NATO”? ; he could easily have said the right time to answer that, will be after Russia stops it's invasion of Ukraine” … he could have easily said that talk of Ukraine entering NATO is meaningless unless & until Russia withdraws from Ukraine. If he needed any further explanation then he could have said “whether or not it's a good idea for Ukraine to join Nato, will depend on the actual terms of a peace settlement agreed between Ukraine and Russia”. Not answering, i.e. actually repeatedly refusing in the way he did, just makes the Harris campaign look no better than Trump.
She gave a perfectly fine answer: The US supports and will continue to support Ukraine's path to NATO membership but has made clear, with other NATO member-states in concert, on several occasions that this is not a matter to be dealt with during an ongoing war. Hence the operative term 'Path'.

I cannot stand the way traditional media reports. I heard Harris comments regarding Florida yesterday and it was not at all the way the reporter presented it. She did not call desantis irresponsible and etc. She actually was very cautious NOT to do that and spoke very generally and broadly about the SITUATION versus a specific person. She stressed the importance of UNITING in these moments and the reporter twisted that into DIVISIVE comments aimed at a specific person. If you can't translate leaders' comments with greater accuracy, then just play what Harris said instead of translating!! I mean.. why does "the media" make simple things so difficult?!?! And also.. the reporter may like to know, right now, if Harris would support Ukraine entering NATO. The American people are waaayyyy more practical and want a leader who is practical. How can you make a commitment on behalf of an organization representing dozens of other countries, with an active war still happening. It would be reckless and misleading to make some statement on a future that's unclear. About Ukraine? Yes, they did. And his answer was basically that he would support russia keeping all the land currently occupied and Ukraine being barred permanently from NATO. (which would allow Putin to invade all over again in 5 or 10 years once he's rebuilt his army.) This would give the green light to Xi Jinping to seize Taiwan.
Harris absolutely did answer the question about whether she would support Ukraine entering NATO. She said she’d consider that question if it arises. That’s an appropriate answer. There are other member nations that have to be consulted, the world dynamics at that time have to be considered and the situation in Ukraine has not been resolved and stabilized. Her answer was completely responsible and it’s disingenuous for the anchor to state otherwise.
