Bravo! I agree with everything you discussed here. Your points led me to consider a couple of other ideas. What is it about the role of the Spare that often leads them to empty troubled lives? The Monarchy better solve that question for Princess Charlotte’s sake. Let’s just review the 20th Century Spares. Princess Margaret’s life deteriorated after the Peter Townsend scandal into a bad marriage and alcoholism. Prince Andrew went from a bad marriage to ill-advised business dealings to the Epstein debacle. And then there’s Prince Harry. His life continues to go down into the depths of vapid irrelevance. What can be done to make Princess Charlotte avoid the pitfalls of being the Spare?

I am an American and I cannot stand Harry or Meghan. I am sick to my core hearing constantly about them and their petty moaning and groaning. They need to have their comeuppance, which would be 1) no more media attention (except for calling them out for their lies) and 2) no more money from any sources.

Dr Starkey explained the religion of American wokism so well. He has finally articulated what I have thought for a long time, but he, of course, explained it far better than I could have ever done.
