True. I believe he took it off after the guitar to get ready for the next song. Louis always gets Niall's microphone for next song when he is done with the guitar. So, thats why I think it was Niall's. But yeah it could be either way, but based on the videos I have seen, it looks like it would be Niall's.

okay I found another video that shows harry losing his mic in the section between the crowd and stage and when louis appears with 2 mics it’s bc he took niall’s mic while he was playing the guitar (he took it early) so niall could have the mic after the stands went down
