@@graveyardshif.t exactly! If the actors were different, mal and harry wouldn't hold so much tension. The only reason why harry sometimes seems to have feelings for mal (not in the third movie tho, but the second one. He did good in Descendants 3 by not showing much interest for mal, except when he asked if she was taken) is because the actors of their characters (Dove and Thomas) are dating and are the cutest relationship irl.

fun fact: harry is actually mal's ex boyfriend in the isle proven by dove and thomas edit: this fact is not in any book. dove and thomas had a livestream and someone asked them for their backstory. and they admitted that mal and thomas used to date long before mal went to auradon. Even though evie said in the first movie she didn’t have a boyfriend in the isle. That’s just the movies lines. And HEY THERE WAS NO DESCENDANTS BOOKS EVEN BEFORE THE WHOLE FRANCHISE

Oh they they're dating in real life ! Hum... the characters do have an interesting dynamic. I think, if Mal never left the Island of the lost, the would have developed a secret relationship with Mal totally exasperated by Harry but charmed nonetheless. Uma would have eventually discovered it and try to break them up but in the end they would have figured it out and friendship yadiyadiyada disney movie ending

This an Interesting Masterpiece for My All Time Favorite Ship in Descendants. Mal has so much better chemistry with Harry than with Ben. I will always Love Dove Cameron and Thomas Dorothy together there were such a wonderful couple. I hate that they broke up but I do love that they remain Great Friends.

Harry and Mal have much more chemistry in that one scene where they met again in the second movie than in any Mal/Ben scenes. And their whole dynamic in general is just a hundred times more interesting too. Ben is just so.. useless, you know ? I mean sure, he’s a nice guy I guess, and he isn’t extremely bad looking too, but his personality isn’t that interesting and his role in the movies is pretty useless. The fact that his relationship with Mal also started because he ate these magic cookies is a big NO for me. But that’s just my opinion.

If Cameron didn't die this would be my idea for Descendants 4: Since in the first movie they didn't know how long Maleficent was gonna be a lizard so she turns back and at the wedding rehearsal (Mal and Ben) she would spell Mal and make her carry on her mission to get the wand but since the barrier is already broken she'll make her destroy Auradon and Evie Jay Carlos and Ben oh and Uma would go find the cure but Mal would be stopping them and Maleficent made it so when they gave her the cure she would go into a deep sleep then Hades AND UMA use their magic to save her but they have to do it before their wedding in two days😌😌
