It’s unbelievable how much work and rehearsal time goes into The Trooping and all ceremonials. My husband was in the Household Cavalry for 12 years and participated in many parades. I agree nobody does it like the 🇬🇧🇬🇧
@@bettyb.7425 Speaking of chips.....While visiting London, Hubby and I walked over to Regent Park to find a Lays Chip commercial being filmed. We were asked to join the 'background' while the actors did their parts as Royal Beefeaters! It was 2018 and this was made for the late Queen's Jubilee! Yes, we both made the final cut in the 1 minute commercial and were paid with 2 bags each of new flavours of chips! Those chips survived 2 weeks travelling on our tour all over England, Scotland and Wales. They arrived home in the suitcase ready to enjoy!! Great memory and souvenirs!
You made a good point about William. Those with a huge presence if they so desire are able to dim their light in order to let others shine...his late grandmother had the same gracious ability.
Thank god someone has realised how tedious it is to watch someone sit there and reel off names and say hello to people. I immediately click off when people do that. As you say it's all well and good for the person being acknowledged but boring as hell for the rest of us. Thank you.
I agree, I usually click off Lives too when the host starts reeling off names, it actually annoys me. Shauna's Live was very good, mind you I'm a huge Shauna Fan .
Dr Michael Mosley was one of my favourite presenters. I feel so sad that he is no longer with us, but appreciate the teaching he gave us over the years.
My hope is that the cringeworthy Yorks are relegated to a small place somewhere out of the limelight. I can't stand Fergie...she befriends anyone with money..like Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein. Troubled heiress Lisa Marie Presley suddenly became her best friend. I just don't find her sincere. And the Royal family need to be careful how much they let Fergie in...she's the original grifter.
Shauna please don’t change anything!!! You’re so unique in the way you present your lives. Love your interaction, your laughter and giggles and the continuous flow without too many interruptions. Love it❤❤❤❤❤. DON’T CHANGE!!!!!!
NO! NO! NO MOVIE ABOUT SARAH! We all know she would cast one of her daughters as her younger self and then cast herself to play herself. Her ego knows no bounds. No movie needed. She is always popping up on talk show or writing a book to tell us all about herself. She just won't go away.
I really enjoyed the interplay between the Stewart’s, the King and the Beckhams. Nothing subconscious , very genuine- lovely to see! It was reassuring to see the support for the King reassuring us that there is a new generation who will take up the reins of his charities .
THAT’S the only problem? I envy those who don’t remember her whining on Oprah years ago. I just finished the Gyles Brandreth book on Elizabeth II and there was a cute vignette about Andrew going off on the audacity of Harry & Rachel on Oprah and HMTQ replied, ‘I don’t recall your outrage when Sarah was on there, years back.’ Gotta love her late Majesty’s quick wit💓💕
Penny is a qualified PSO ( Police Support Officer) she has been for several years. She was on a programme in 2019, called “Famous and Fighting Crime” where Celebrities trained to be PSOs and experienced how it is to police the City of London. She was brilliant on it and said she’d found her calling, so continued with training has been doing it ever since.
Hi Shauna, I love Rod Stewart, My dad worked with his brother Don and every time I bought a new album, dad would pass it on to Don and Rod would sign it for me ‘To Shahn, love Rod Stewart’ How lucky am I? ❤xx Love Shahn UK 🇬🇧
Omg I can't stop laughing at your coffee machine noises! I loved the blue suede shoes! I must agree with your impression that it lent an insight into her character. I always look at a bride's shoes for that reason. The most fun wedding I've ever been to, the bride wore white Converse sneakers under her dress. It was very typical of the bride's character ❤
A friend of mine wore white ankle socks & brown leather sandals in honor of her grandfather who'd passed just a few months before the wedding. The family had teased him about it to the point that he always wore them...even with a suit.
Hello from Bulgaria, it's 3 pm here, it's hell on earth, it's been 10 days of heat, and I am eagerly waiting the storm they are promising us for tonight. I love your channel, Shauna, cannot wait for every video you post. Congrats on the wonderful collaborations you've done. I am so happy that a reading channel is being recognized. My favorite part is your reading of book chapters. For me it's never boring. I can listen to you analyze a single chapter for 2 hours :) Kisses from the end of the world and sip sip :)
Thank you for that. I love chips and the kettle ones. Prince Louis has such a big personality - love it! And I love that his parents don't try to stifle him. They are all so well behaved and out in front of cameras unlike other children, so if a moment happens, no one should criticize them. I really enjoy your shows Shauna, and the tid bits of juicy information.
I live in Chester and my mum came to visit so we could be in the city for the wedding. We watched them putting the final touches to the arches of greenery around the Cathedral doors the night before and had a great spot in front of the Cathedral on the day itself. Olivia looked every inch a Duchess and her blue velvet shoes were fabulous. Good for her! Wishing the Duke and Duchess a very happy marriage, and thank you for the ice cream, Your Grace! 👰🏻♀️🤵🏼♂️🌺
Hi Shauna. First of all, I loved the hand movement when describing how the glitter lady must have applied the glitter 🤣I remember an extremely embarrassing incident that happened in the hallowed walls of church. A rather handsome, new priest had recently joined the parish, and the nickname 'Father-what-a-waste' began circulating among the young ladies who attended. In amusement, I had relayed this information to my husband at home. The next time I attended, and at a particularly quiet time during the service, my then 7-year-old, very loud daughter asked, "Is that the one you call Father-what-a-waste'? I felt every eyeball staring at me, but that was nothing compared to the moment the priest looked up with a smile and said, 'Thank you'!
Hi Shauna, I was lucky enough to be at Trooping the Colour to see her late Majesty riding the beautiful horse 'Burmese' sidesaddle many times in the 1980s. Very memorable 👑
Everything you point out & call out is with directness, wit & logic. If only you were on the mentioned sky tv! The wedding of the year grew on me and agree with Olivia’s dress & blue shoes looking great. I felt so sad about Dr Moseley, so glad you paid tribute to the great man. Looking forward to your coming book reviews.. with yummy kettle chips at hand! Thanks for the laughs with the stories.
I so agree with you about that Sara person. Never can understand the Brits making such a fuss about her. Shameless is the word. I look forward to your show before bed. It puts me in a cheerful mood before going to sleep. I love your stories, they make me laugh a lot more than you do yourself. Thank you.
Live can be very stressful compared to recorded. Even if you don’t make a habit of cutting glitches or redoing bits until they’re perfect you know in the back of your mind that you don’t have to worry about really putting your foot in it. After all, once something is up on the ‘Tube, it’s there forever. And I agree with you about those yawn-inspiring Hellos to one and all. You have got it right, girl, congratulations
Sarah was on a morning show I think yesterday and she said the queen told her to just be her. She said she cherished that because the queen was one of the wisest women ever so that meant the Queen Sarah was good enough just as she was. When you said no, no, no, no, just no, that was what I was thinking when she said that. I hope you don't mind me commenting so much Shauna but I have 12 chronic illnesses so I have a lot of time on my hands. It for sure not a feel sorry for me thing, because I always stay positive. Just an explanation of why I have seen all these things.
@@thevintageread Thank you for that. I was a teacher and still am at heart so researcher and gathering as much knowledge as possible is my DNA. My mother was a teacher also so she encouraged me to ask questions.
I am so pleased I’m not the only one who doesn’t like lives. It’s often very unprofessional. There are those who digress, in the middle of something that’s interesting they turn to their cat or dog for 5 mins or so. That’s not what I clicked on to see. And those that go on about their ailments, sorry but that’s not what I am looking for when I subscribe. Yours was perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I love the Trooping of the Colour. Why is it not, and to my knowledge never been transmitted live in Australia. What woman doesn’t like men in uniforms marching and bands playing.
Loved the Live, although I have to watch it on replay being in US. I love all of your vids, especially GBB. Your laugh is so uplifting! Thanks for the fun and the gossip!
I loved the bride’s shoes also. I thought I read Somewhere that it was ancestral thing. I maybe wrong but I still lived them. And Prince William did an excellent job staying in the background. A true British gentleman.
Shauna you always make me laugh! I loved your views on the many people who (right before they pass away) they just have to pass on a message to "Ol Red" Sarah Ferguson! That bit was hilarious! And at the end when you said (so cheerfully), "Next week I will have Andrew Gold and we will be talking about psychopaths, so that should be fun!" You always put a positive spin on everything! Love it!❤️
That was a great show. I loved the way Rod Stewart looked at his wife with King Charles talking to her and kissed her.The picture of David Beckham planting a rosé bush should be showed at every live. Lol. Great show again .
Oh Shauna ! I was doing so well listening to you then you mentioned chips , I had to quickly put you on pause while I dashed out to the kitchen to grab a bag . 🤦🏼♀️. I really enjoy your show , hugs from 🇨🇦
I greatly enjoyed your live! You had me in stitches today listening to (and watching) your experience with your new cappuccino machine 😂 The glitter story made me laugh so hard Never change, Shauna. You’re just delightful.
I usually don't watch lives for all the reasons you gave. However, I watched yours 2 days after you did it and watched the whole thing because it was so enjoyable. I will watch again.
Loved the live!!! You did great Shauna it was very interactive and it was enjoyable. I was so sorry that Catherine was not at the wedding with William, I am sure he missed her being there with him I sure missed her by his side. I agree, NO movie about Sarah please! I LOVE chips! I try not to eat the whole bag in one setting but somehow they just disappear!
Thank you for your live and not reading everyone’s name and saying Hi! back to them. I thought twice about watching yours and was thrilled when you didn’t acknowledge each person. Looking forward to your next one, HI FROM 🇨🇦
I'd stopped watching "lives", but just didn't want to miss what you might have to say. You have exactly the right idea of what a live should be. After reading comments from others, I know I'm not alone. Thanks for being you💕
Shauna, I always enjoy your broadcast. Last week I had to say goodbye to my best friend of 15 years, Whiskey. She was the best girl. A one of a kind dog. We’ve been through it all together . It’s been rough, but this gossip made me genuinely smile. Thank you for that!!!! Big hugs to Beauregard and all the sweet doggies who make our lives so much better!
Loved your live and I don't really like most lives. Don't have time for most of them. Can't believe listeners told you that you don't know how to do a live. Makes me in error hearing a word wrong seem like a joke. I loved the pace that you kept up and talking about interesting topics. You talked like you were speaking directly to us all. Think it's your gift. The age thing is very blatant. Loved her blue shoes, Elvis would be pleased, and I enjoyed seeing the fashions. Love a girl who is true to herself. Prince Louis is delightful. Reminds me of our boys too. Think they are parenting the three children well. Can you imagine if hubby banned us from media or anything for that matter. Proves not a true partnership to me. Also loved the DDay coverage, raised by WW2 vet and I loved seeing the respect shown those brave soilders. So glad for the things that generation taught me.
👋 from the UK .. just love all your shows but especially this one … always feel like I’m sitting down with a special friend 😊 Lately I’ve been listening to this on my early morning walks and end up absolutely giggling out loud , which causes a few strange looks my way 😂😂. Sip ….from one of your shawnerettes ❤️
