One of the best top five albums of all time, and his rendition of "As time goes by" easily the best version of this song ever recorded. Still missing you Harry.

my dad worked in radio in NYC, c. 1969. He brought me Harry's first album. i wish we still had it.

Just found out we were related. His dad abandoned him, that was my Damn Great Uncle. My Mom loved his music too. We all grew up in San Bernardino CA

A profound bow to Gordon Jenkins for the chart; what superb sounds like. Oh yeah, that kid on mic' 1, a once-in-a-lifetime talent. Astoundingly good. You don't get this, you're deaf.

Love this LP/CD. Harry was 10 years too early with this but it sure holds up well...I'm glad he didn't listen to his producers and made it. Gordon Jenkins was great as well...

Bought a vinyl LP of 'A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night' from a thrift store a few days ago. It only cost me a couple of dollars and it's the first time I ever heard it...I'm very very pleased 🙂

Actually, in my opinion it's a gorgeous arrangement. The song was written in 1931. It's supposed to sound authentic. Gordon Jenkins was a world class arranger. There again, music appreciation is obviously subjective. RGG
