I love how this hilarious song leads into the next one "Turn On Your Radio", which tells "Joy" to listen to his next song "You're Breaking My Heart". A classic threesome that should always be played together.

What a multi-faceted artist. One of a kind humor, who could then turn around and deliver one of the most beautiful love songs ever ("Without You (Badfinger song)). Give a listen to the Badfinger original first, then listen to Harry's version. (And I'm also a Badfinger fan). Rest easy, Harry.

I watched The Point back in the late 60's that's how I became a huge fan. I remember sitting in front of the TV watching The Pointed And thinking wow to be able to write lyrics like that. When he died I was so sad he was taken away from us to early. He was a genius him and J. Lennon were drinking buddies use to read about their wild nights. I was like lucky I grew up with him. I'm glad you found him even at age 50. He's a treasure.

The quintessential country song. Took me awhile to figure out it was a country song because he doesn't/didn't do them. A joke/challenge for him turned into a fav song for me similar to "The Girl with the Far Away Eyes" by The Stones. "I'm going to make you feel all weird inside...." Quite relatable. This is one of the songs I send people that say they don't like country.

40 something years of hearing that, and I still giggle every time! Best if listening to the album, because this is the first song of three that go together; next is "Turn on Your Radio", and the pay-off is the very funny "You're Breaking My Heart" that could never be played on the radio because of all the "F" bombs, but soon became a favorite song on that great album. The entire album is great if y'all haven't heard it. Harry's funniest and heartwarming album, IMO. Might be because it was my fiance's and my favorite album and "The Lottery Song" was OUR song. He was a plumber, and we did save enough to go to Vegas. We were very happy, and we took the gamble, but we didn't win. He died in 1989, and he took my heart with him. I've never loved anyone that much again.
