Alexandre Desplat's music at the "Hollywood in Vienna" film music gala concert in 2011. including "Obliviate" and "Dragon Flight". ORF Radio-Symphony Orchestra Vienna and John Axelrod conducting.
Alexander Desplat’s work for the Deathly Hallows feels so underrated for me. It’s so beautiful and it invokes all the emotions from the last and second to last book perfectly.
listening to this actually makes me cry. not just because its harry potter but because its just a beautiful piece and you can really feel the emotion and dedication that these musicians put in to make this piece so magical. BRAVO. simply amazing.
Duhemsounds Well the original score was recorded by an orchestra in the first place. Pretty much all big budget films are. That being said, they will always sound better live right in front of you.
I always love the cello at 1:20. And then right at 1:25 when the music swells again, the violins give me the chills. I've always thought the violins are the heartstrings in music because they can evoke such dramatic sounds and they definitely pull at mine :)
The first book came out when I was born. The last movie came out when I was 14 years old. Basically my childhood - it ended when the series ended. When I think of my childhood, I think of Harry Potter. When I was like 9 or 10 years old I read the books so often that my parents had to take them away from me to make me do something else again. My whole life I've been waiting for a letter from Hogwarts and I still do. Harry Potter isn't just a book or a movie. It taught me what really counts in life - Friendship. Love. Loyalty. Courage. And when I am old and I'm sitting in my rocking chair, I will be reading Harry Potter again. And my family will ask: "After all this time?" And my answer will be: "Always."
Me too, I spent also so much time with Harry Potter, and sometimes my parents didn't bought the book right when it came out, and it was obviously in my saddest parts of my life (until now) and I really thought of killing myself, but HP just "saved" my life. I just want to say thank you J.K. Rowling, I really LOVE all the books and the films, not because they are good (no wait, they are awesome! I can tell you exactly what they say in some dialogues and I watched all the films at least twenty times!) but they "teach" me that you need more to be happy than having much money, no. You need friends, love, and especially hope. So, I really loved the scene in Deathly Hollows 2 when Snape gives Harry his memories and when Harry watches them... I really cried and that means something, because I didn't even cried about Titanic.... :D (sorry about my English, not perfect, I know but I'm from Germany, so please be patient :P )
I have to wonder how these people don't tear up as they play. It's just so beautiful, and to know they-themselves are creating that noise is overwhelming to me. (I play first violin and sometimes I feel watery-eyed when playing pieces)
You practise the piece until you get sick of it. I used to get chills every time I listened to Clair de lune, but I practised it so much I got sick of it by the end.
This is one of my most favourite pieces of music EVER. It's absolutely gorgeous! I've listened to it 437 times since I downloaded it earlier this year (and that's not including how many time's i've listened to it on my iPod). In my top five favourites for life
Obliviate is one of my all time favorites from harry potter it feels so emotional and gets you thinking if you've seen all the Harry Potters...this song makes u feel like...wow this is actually the end of it all after all these years 1:24 says it all and that nice timpani sound from 1:37(with headphones)
According to me, this symphony rappresents one of the most exciting, vibrating and precious sound in Harry Potter's films. Concerning my infancy, it rappresents the peak of an evolving story, full of sensation and memories.
I started reading Harry Potter when I was 11 years old, my mom told me to read it. She thought I would like it. I didn't only liked it. I loved it!! I finished Harry potter when I was 12 years old. Harry Potter is the best.
i'm here after maybe 10 years. Back then i used to listen to this video so often it made me feel so many things! Life happened and i forgot about this video, afraid it might not exist anymore. Thankfully it's still here and i finally saved it in a playlist so i'll never lose it!
Minha alma se arrepia e se emociona com essa música, Harry Potter sempre impressionando com sua trilha, essa é de arrepiar. Obliviate & Dragon's flight
I miss playing in an orchestra on a regular basis, and love Harry Potter. To me, this concert combines the best of both worlds. Long live the magic of Harry Potter.
The Score for the last 2 movies is completely out standing...!! You can taste the awesomeness of the music not whilst in the movie but when you listen to the tracks separately..!! You have given me moments of total satisfaction and happiness Alexandre..!!!
Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part I and Part II, are probably two of the most emotional movies for me. I actually teared up a bit when part II ended, because... It was all over..
When I listened to this in the movie, I could hear the flute. The soft, calming, gentle sound of a flute. The instrument that I play in my schools band. The flute.
watching this is just magical...harry poter is a part of me..I m obsessed with it..I think that old magic created by jo can never be created by anyone else...not even through cursed child...I mean this video is just awesome...when words are not needed to define ur soul...this is what is the true beauty of music hats off...
Awesome, it's amazing and unbelievable what music can do. Every time I hear it it makes me cry so so much. No words and it says more. 💓 I will ALWAYS be potterhead /*.
yes yes yes it should be breathtaking to the max when we see live indeed , pity the symphony in my country looks like won't play this music, they choose star wars and again star wars then starwarssss again… boring :((((.. i wanna to listen and seen obliviate live :((
Fabulous collection of Harry Potter's score. I am so glad that I found this today. Some of the scenes ( underscore) in this movie are stunningly fantastic. One of my motivic ideas actually comes from one of the music that plays in this video, thank you for sharing this!
Harry Potter series taught me how to face challenges with tremendous courage. He who didn't know any fine verse,no any special skills, parents died, rise before his toughest enemy and win.
