Greater Gwent Youth Orchestra presenting Harry Potter and the goblet of fire from the concert A Night at the Films at the Prestigious Celtic Manor 1 May 2011 Musical Director Mr Peter James. Original Score written by Patrick Doyle
wow.... i bow down to all of you who were part of this, this sounded just as good as the original soundtrack.. and that is saying something.. well done you all !!
A big man enters the room. You can only see the yellow, cat-like eyes under his dark hood, before he takes it off to reveal a face full of scars and a long mane of ashen hair. He has two large swords in his back, and a wolven medallion on his chest, which is vibrating violently. - "Someone say "Gwent"?, asks Geralt of Rivia.
Loki1982axala Thank you for pointing out that I had not noted down the composer in the short description, but if you look at 00:07 the title of the piece is given with the composer Patrick Doyle. I am an amateur videographer and sometimes miss things. I appreciate the critique and don't wish to offend anyone, after all I am capturing the music these young musicians and artists create for everyone's enjoyment.
Goblet of Fire has the worst soundtrack of the movies if you have to ask me. Why? Not because it's the first one without John Williams, but it has some very annoying tunes in it that never really fit into the franchise. Also it has been used too many times, making it too dramatic. Only good piece is Quidditch World Cup.
themes like death of cedric, harry in winter and hogwarts hymn all have feeling in them that perfectly suit the scenes in which the accompany. it seems more that your gripe would be with the movie overall
Fionnlagh Ormiston No, I like the movie itself, but I hate the haircuts though xD Hogwarts hymn is indeed good, but Harry in winter is just horrible, because it does not fit with the other pieces that were earlier produced. This whole movie you can't hear the famous theme once.
+Jisk van der Veen that's because at the time it was a tonal shift from what came before, it all became darker and more uncertain and experimental which is what I think the soundtrack does well
