Seriously. I'd literally never heard of this brand before today (I'm not a brand shopper), but now any time I am exposed to it I'll go "Oh yeah, the harry potter SD animation!"
You obviously have no idea how much effort and knowledge went into this despite the fact that AI was used. Along with work, you also charge for knowledge and status in the industry.
Yeah none of the rip-offs (or sequels tbh) can touch this video, it’s a pure diamond. It hints at something purely terrifying that is just out of frame. I feel like I’m watching a horror movie, yet I can’t turn away.
Me and some friends were really in to this video (like just randomly referencing it daily and stuff) and it was really sad when literally none of the other versions came even close to the surreal comedy of this one.
What it hints at is the prospect of the entire franchise done in this style, which will never happen in this reality but would probably be the most life-changing high camp spectacle of the modern era. We are not worthy.
dude same, I came here again because I just had this video on my mind all day. I felt like either I was tripping or was having some sort of brain disease or being tortured by an AI program when I was watching this because everything is just edited enough to make you question reality but still can recognise the original characters.

@@mhm6 It's an mix of Image generation and Deep Fake faces, and most likely AI generated VA, a mix of couple of programs Ai generated videos are uncanny horror as of now

@@master_swish nope the image is made first with the terms like "Harry Potter in a fashion show" then the image is animated using another AI I can send you the link if you want. I just searched on RU-vid and found it, you can animate the images using any of your own video. Thanks a lot for answering 🤗
There's something here that's so captivating in the rawest absurdist way. The yassified characters everyone grew up with. The pulsing techno beat underlying the video like it's a real fashion shoot. The intermittent snaps and flashes of the cameraman offscreen. The pitch perfect fashion focused series dialogue. The posing and pouting. The constant slow zoom-in. It's alchemy! I shouldn't be so fascinated by it but I really am
Reminds me of something that David Lynch would script. He's worked on various commercials before, some of which were for fashion brands. Uncanny faces, bodies, etc. are a common tool in Lynch's arsenal, like the mob boss in Mulholland Drive, who was played by a little person sat in a chair just so the proportions would be off - "limbs" too long, head too small. Really, check out his work if this is the kind of thing you like. Everybody with a taste for the surreal, the bizarre, the grotesque should experience Lynch at least once.
Im not even sure you realise how perfectly balenciaga this video is. The music, the looks, the uncanny models, the pop culture references, the mix between meme irony and genuine fascination, the AI utilisation, the balenciaga name being used like it’s a divine entity. Absolutely perfect If demna wasn’t trying to play it safe and lowkey because of the controversy, this would 100% be used as an ad
I don't think she's playing safe. I just think she's not creative enough. Her shock value using minors and referencing what they referenced is proof of how much they have fallen off the creativity train. This AI video is proof enough they could be experimenting with modern pop culture in ways that can piss off a lot of people without using children.

These clips are so strangely addictive, there's nothing I should like about this, and I still have to watch it every time I see one. Maybe it's the way they say Balenciaga, and then slightly move their heads, with that particular background music. I don't know.

I can't stop watching this, there is something so absurd and addictive about it (in a good way) It does look like a high fashion ad. I want to see a perfume/cologne ad in this style.
i don't know why but this is the 5th time today i watched this, there is something weirdly intriguing and hilarious about this. These AI creations look like weird fever dreams, there is something about the blurry background and lighting.
I don't say this so casually but this is a masterpiece. The buildup, the setting, the things that they say while in character, only a true genius could have come up with this. Hats off to whosoever made this.

The uncanny gestures and eye blinking typical of AI aligns curiously well with the awkwardness of models that can't act. It somehow makes it more credible, in a strange, surreal, roundabout way.
I love how this chronologically plays out just like the series: Hagrid revealing to Harry he's a Balenciaga, meeting Ron and Hermoine, Snape grilling Harry in class, dumbledore dispensing wisdom, malfoy being a dick, voldemort taking his form, and Harry casting his ultimate spell

I think it’s addicting to watch because of the backbeat being almost hypnotic in pattern. Matched with the surreal look of the characters you can’t help but just stare.
That odd mix of zooming in, the AI characters although strange, yet familiar, the nodding, the lighting, the flashes, the fashion, their lines... pure mesmerising magic. You are definitely onto something mate, keep going! Lord of the rings next, perhaps?
