That seems to have been the case with lots of calendars this year. It’s like there are a cadre of brilliant box designers out there but someone forgot to order the contents…..
Fr like honestly id rather they just put everything in plain cardboard boxes and shift all the funds to item production. Thatd b so much better 😭😭 cuz lets be real who actually keeps the boxes from advent calendars after ?

I love watching these videos because Cherry doesn't pretend to be amazed when something just has a sticker or emblem slapped on an item to make it match a theme. Also calling it as it is. Absolutely amazing and probably saving people from getting Advent Calendars that really aren't worth the money. I will say I do like the little cell phone canvas bag but I'd use it for when I go to my garden for herbs because it seems too easy to snap that little strap if it was used for a phone.
So many disappointing calendars. I would be embarrassed to sell so much crap. Thanks for doing this, it really helps us parents with making a decision, and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into it.
1 coaster and 1 straw?? For that price…. Im so thankful for Cherry’s honesty unlike others who pretend to like everything and never mention prices paid for these ridiculous advents. I will never understand how they can make so many beautiful replicas, but do so poorly on these As a parent if I spent this much on an advent for even my kid I’d be pissed and I know my kiddos would not be very impressed
Lmao I just came back from a convention and there were two stands that made gorgeous wood-burned coasters better than the one in that calendar. Not to mention, they could've made a set w/ different designs, considering how cheap that probably was!
I mean... As an adult, I LOVE a quality coaster. I have stoneware ones from Disneyland and Paris. But this one wouldn't hold up for more than a week. And it's hideous.
This is why I like watching your channel, you’re honest and don’t act like everything is so wonderful and keepsake worthy. This should not be a deluxe calendar.
Hi Cherry. Do you know what would have been cool? 1- If the box the chocolate frog came in, be made of metal and be a pencil sharpener. 2- The jigsaw should have been made better, coming in a box and the design could be Hedwig flying in the night sky carrying a letter from Sirius. 3- Instead of those two small bags, could be a t-shirt with the design of Great Hall decorated for Christmas. I have been enjoying this series. So fun. My 2 fave advent calendars are the barbie one and the one with harry potter doll. xo
Bonus - The snitch bag is perfect for collecting all of the items being tossed in the bin! Keep the outer box, empty the individual boxes and refill them with actual "deluxe" Harry Potter surprises! 😁👍‼
The straw could have had like a wand look …I’m glad that I haven’t gotten any calendars bc I wouldn’t like much of the things in these but I enjoy watching this series 😃 To me they could maybe make 12 days of Christmas keep the price the same but put more into those 12 items
The first cheaper tote you pulled out would be a great wet bag for the beach or something (put all your wet clothing items in it so nothing else gets wet). The second smaller bag, the sorcerers stone one, you can use as like a travel bag for electronic cords, medication, menstrual care, etc. same with the mini black drawstring bag. ❤
I like the socks (both), gloves (design, but agree with you), the post it notes, the stickers, the magnet, the pin, the designs on the two bags, (but they even look cheap in video), I love the pen! The post in notes and the pen are my favorites. I absolutely love the eraser chocolate frog with box. I think it would be cooler if the made the box a pencil shapener! And gave even a pencil or pack of them instead of the balloon or some other junk in there.
Next to last bag, use for stones or divination cards; bag with strap, use to collect small things when walking about; the first one is hopeless. Most of it was cheap.

I actually quite like this years deluxe calendar from Cinereplicas… mainly because I like little stationery bits and bobs and at heart I’m a big kid lol! I really love the little stickers, Ron Weasley socks and especially the Honeydukes sticky notes! Also, I thought that if I got the phone holder bag, I would cut the front design off (as it’s a nice design) and maybe pin it on something or frame it. Xx

The chocolate frog is amazing, but I'd have more fun buying the individual bits off ebay than paying the money for the whole thing. There's some weird stuff in there😆
I really love and appreciate how honest your videos are! I have watched another RU-vidr open this particular calendar and he praised literally every single item, even the straw and balloon whereas I always thought exactly like you
I think I would've put the gloves on the other side if the logo had been lower on the hand, not touching the knuckles. Yet I still wouldn't put it in a calendar since they seem like pretty big gloves, and they probably wouldn't really fit a lot of people. I personally like the cookie cutter. I'm not a young witch, but I do like chibi. I like that it has a spring on the back and I'd have far more fun with it than justified. I like frisge magnets, I think I'd be pleased with getting that as well, though it'd be somewhere in the middle for me. I think Aunt Petunia's pudding would've been cool if it'd been an ornament or something, I guess you could use it like that instead of a bracelet. I do agree it looks horrible for it's intended purpose. Personally I would actually be pretty happy with the drawstring pouch. I'm always looking for ways to store my dice and this would definitely be a magical way of doing it. Then on the other side... I wouldn't really want the stickers, or the post it notes. I just really wouldn't use them. The design on the notes is cute, but I'd put them somewhere and lose it. Over all... glad I'm not buying that thing. The fact that they call this 'deluxe' doesn't promote anything good for their company. I'd like to see quality when something says 'deluxe', but half these items are of Wish quality, sadly.

Wow and that is not a great wow. Wonderful as always to see you back. It is great having a daily video. The calendar tbh I would be miffed if I paid €30 for this let alone the actual price. I think this calendar would be an ideal candidate for a “Can I make this better for less” kind of video I have seen about. This really was a duffer again. I totally agree with you. Also it looks like they left the item purchasing up to 2 different employees. 1 tried and 1 didn't. The employee that designed the box itself did a fantastic job. This advent calendar is a huge let down.
Beautifully designed calendar! I dont think the contents justifies the price though! The small side bag design is cool! It might be nice if you're going to a festival, market, or somewhere that all you want is your phone and cash/card, I do wish it was a bit thicker though like you said! Loving the daily content by the way 😁💜
I saw this and had just watched last year's Cinereplica Advent Calendar video of yours and thought, again? If I'd spent that much money on a HP Advent Calendar for myself or my nephew, I'd be really mad. Thank you for saying it, but so nicely.
I think the one thing to keep in mind is that most advent calendars on the market, especially the Harry Potter themed ones are meant to be tailored to kids. Which definitely explains the cheap quality of most of the items in them because let’s face it many children don’t really “take care” of their items they just sort of go through them, wear them out, wreck them until they are ready for the discard bin. 😂 I think what should be done is that the companies should make a change in their marketing strategies. Have a calendar full of items for adults that would still hit them in the feels of their nostalgia, but make those items of better and higher quality. The calendars for the children could be upgraded a bit as well, at least enough for the products to last 5 years or longer. Now the question that remains is what exactly should be in the adult-styled advent calendars? 😄 Great video overall Cherry, way to power through! 😊❤️

I think that, the foil balloon COULD be cute if it was in the shape of a floating candle. But it needs to be smaller and perhaps have 3 of them in one day.
I really like the actual calendar itself and think you could reuse it and make a fun and fantastic calendar for a HP fan for years to come! The calendar otherwise must be themed for kids b/c there are many products that are of substandard quality which adults are going to be quick to point out and be unhappy with while a child may find it still fun and not mind that it breaks within a few uses. I’m happy to see the calendars themselves having so much nicer designs and being of a quality that they can even be reusable but they can’t use all the budget and creativity on the packaging. This was an improvement from last year for sure! Next year, let’s see some more effort made to increase the quality of the items -ie. no helium balloons, paper puzzles, etc!

I appreciate so much that your item reviews are always so honest! As much as spoiling a calendar for yourself might not be as exciting... I like knowing when I'm going to get a single bobby pin in a day/door and if they have just slapped a themed sticker on something.
I think compared to last year it’s an improvement. The box is stunning and I can see myself using the notepad, eraser, even the reusable bag for a sneaky Woolies trip. Other than that, a lot of it does become just junk. Especially for Deluxe Replicas, maybe some more pins would have been an improvement
I'm surprised they did so much work on the beautiful designs on the box and didn't use any of them on the products, like that coaster would have been way cuter if it had the Hedwig at the window or the Doby stocking. I really appreciate you reviewing these advent calendars, I would never waste my money on this
I like the sorcerer's stone bag design. A thicker canvas bag the size of the snitch one would be great in the pattern. Or make it the draw string bag so its like the syone was indide of it. The balloons and puzzle are definitely a let down.
That thin canvas bag, you could use it with your plant room or in the kitchen to store or display small tools. If you had some sort of plastic interior you could even plant something inside it, but that runs the risk of it eventually falling apart.
I agree that many of these calendars seem to lean toward the female purchasers. I also agree that the bags look like they come from the dollar store. Other than the socks and magnet, seems to be a lot of stuff that I wouldn’t get much use from.
I feel like with calendars like this, you never really get value for money. They're just putting cheaper stuff in a calendar so you'll buy it and they make a big profit. With the beauty calendars however I feel you get a LOT of value for money because the idea is that you try out the products and then buy more of what you like. It's beauty product tapas to whet your appetite for more. The only non-beauty calendars I buy are the chocolate ones and the Lego ones
The BirdieBots magnets is for use as a pageholder like a a placeholder for your book one magnets on one side then put the other magnet on the other side of the paper and it holds the page together from the rest of the book without damaging the book or just two magnets for the refrigerator

I love the ability to reuse the calendar box. It's beautiful! I liked the wand pen, the socks, chocolate frog, and the design on the black bag...but it was, sadly, a little on the lame side. The balloon, the straw....seriously, wth? 😳 What a bummer.
