Hi!!! Today I bring you a tutorial that is very special to me! I loved making this DIY because I'm a big fan of the Harry Potter series and I hope you enjoy it too!
Below, some tips that I didn't explain on the tutorial:
- I used acrylic paint because the dresser wasn't made from real wood. But if you have a wooden dresser, you can use the proper wood paint after sanding it.
- You can paint the drawers with a paint roller, it's easier and faster. I used the brush at the time because I bought the roller after painting the drawers.
- Apply more than one coat of paint and let it dry between each coating layer.
- It's easier if you use carbon paper to make the decals of the images you want to draw, but use a carbon paper color close to the background of the drawer so it doesn't stain.
- To protect the top of the dresser from dents and scratches you can buy a glass because the varnish won't be enough. That's what I intend to do on my own dresser.
- Make sure the permanent markers don't smudge when you're applying the varnish. It happened to me. Instead you can use varnish spray if you prefer.
- If you want to start a project like this, make sure you have time and patience to finish it.
-"After all this time?
-Always."
