I’m so glad I found this video! Next year (2024) we are going to make a potion cabinet for our home Halloween Haunt for our witch display , and these will be the perfect inspiration for that. I have been saving interesting bottles for years. It’s a project I can work on throughout the winter (I’m in the US, so soon it will be winter.) Thank you for your videos. I just love them! ❤❤

AAAH these are some of my favorite things I've seen you make, and that's saying a lot! But you know me and potion bottles, haha. I think the polyjuice potion is my favorite, I just love the shape of the bottle and the color of the potion, but the wolfsbane aconite is a close second. They're all amazing though!

Your bottle selection was perfect for potions. I love the yellow glass bottle. This was fun. I can see doing this on a kid level at a Harry Potter themed birthday party.

It seems every time I try to recreate someone's awesome idea (thx for sharing!), the creators act like it's so easy. Thx for sharing that insight. Today is my potion bottle filling and decorating day and your video is awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it! Editing makes it look easy, but trust me: It's definitely trial and error behind the scenes! I'm working on a HP Ornament series at the moment (starts October) and I definitely have to try out my ideas before I film them! I hope your potions turned out amazing!

Beautiful bottles of potion. I was thinking why not fill the bottles with drinkable liquid? . Just in case someone decides to drink it, that way is safe. I’m always trying to be safe just in case children are around, because those bottles look very tenting to drink.

What you said about what you’d think the general bottles sizes would be in shops were interesting! But the smaller portions of potions always made sense to me. Maybe cause I’m a og charmed fan, but I’m sure true potions take time to make even with some of the rarest ingredients and immense power! The tiny viles made more sense to me. Especially in a shop/store out of all places. But for aesthetics and shelf decor, the bigger bottles are def smart

I have a question about you making these potion bottles up with water. Your bottles will start to get bacteria and molds inside. They will not last 6 months with water. 😳 you should be using isopropyl at least 50%- 70%
Haha not a dumb question! I have them displayed in my book room with other HP creations. I've only made those in the video. I don't sell them (too heavy to ship and HP is not my property to sell)
How do you stop the mica powder from sinking so fast to the bottom? It stays pretty for about 30-40 minutes after shaking but after a couple days after shaking it'll only last a minute.
I've been a Harry Potter fan from the beginning. I was there as soon as the books were released. But I have to admit that I don't have any prompts for Harry Potter yet. There are items saved on my computer waiting for me to find the time to make them. The potion bottles really intrigue me so I will be on the look out for interesting bottles.
Everything is so beautifully done but the most impressive thing for me is how your work table is so clean everything at mine got paint, resin and burn spots all around hahaha
Haha I try to keep it clean by working on a mat I put on my work surface when using glues, paints or clay. I kinda have to for my videos anyway. But you're adding character to yours, don't be mad at it 😀
These are so creative… cool! I thought maybe some metal candy boxes or small vests would be great fir powders and such! I have one that is for mint drops that has a sliding lid … or some have hinges
Won't the water mold after some time? I would be scared of that happening if I did the potions, is there other liquid that could be used to make the potions?

thanks for the shout-out for the link on the potions book..when I originally say Danny's vid for that I couldn't access it..now I could...I think I have a bottle of the gliserin in my cupboard from my perfume making days but I don't have any mica powders...can you use regular acrylic paint..?? I'd love to go op shopping to look for bottles, but if I pull my finger out and do some cleaning/sorting in back junk/bedroom I might just find some there..
You are so welcome! Danny used a shimmer acrylic paint in his video, so yes, you definitely can! just go a little bit at a time. Don't forget your pantry/kitchen! Lots of my bottles had vinegars or oils in them :D
yeah..I know of an oil/vinegar bottle that I've never used but liked the look of I can use @@RavensMinis..moved some stuff in back room and found one of those fancy looking bottles that had had multi-coloured water/oil in some years back AND some jamming jars that now have rusty lids but would work well with powdered unguents.. the hunt is on..Op shopping within my own home..chuckle..
