I love that Daniel Radcliffe has moved onto other roles but not only still pops up as Harry Potter and isn't afraid to poke fun at the series.

Never did they imagine 2020 is exactly like Harry in this skit: washed up, isolated, depressed and alone

The fact that they actually managed to get Daniel Radcliffe to play Harry here is what makes this skit for me

This skit is deep. All the adults have moved on in the so called "real world" and Harry's adventures only entertain the kids. It's the drudgery of growing up - personified. This parallells most people's relationship with the stories. They're exciting and enchanting when you're young, but sooner or later one has to move on. Only those who fail to fully let go, be it due to nostalgic attachment, literal frozen development, or some other reason - follow the same stories into adulthood. The killing of innocence by maturation juxtaposed by the fractured psyche of the adult clinging to youth. Alas, earwax.

What I love about this is that Daniel is tecnically playing the same character, but the personality is completely different as if he's playing a very different character.

The fact that they were able to reproduce the atmosphere and some of the characters with acceptable accuracy here without even trying too hard, for the comedic effect, makes me hopeful that someone might make more Harry Potter content of that same period again one day, and it won´t be weird.

Harry and Draco still having a rivalry and trying to one-up each other, while Harry is a washout and Draco successful but still insecure, is prime fic material. Like their more healthy relationships post-series made sense and was good character development-wise (CC writing issues aside) but this is just hilarious. (I'm sure a bunch of people have written this fic already)

Radcliffe making fun of his own character is outlandishly good

I actually felt this was more of an appropriate fit for Hermione’s career than being Minister for Magic. She’s a good leader but since there are no universities in the wizarding world I just thought she’d continue to be an academic at Hogwarts. I find it hard to believe Ron left George’s shop to become an Auror - always imagined him as Quidditch coach. So to me it makes more sense to see them as teachers here.
