Hogwarts Courtyard is a popular hang-out spot for students of all Houses. This courtyard is where some students spend their spare time playing Gobstones, read, chat or watch the distant Quidditch practices. Students get a beautiful view of the Great Lake and the mountains beyond the castle grounds.
The Courtyard is a quadrangle in Hogwarts Castle. A covered stone cloister with an open colonnade runs around it, and two checkpoint towers flank its entryway via the Viaduct. There is a stone walkway leading from this courtyard into The Quad, and into the Viaduct Entrance. The courtyard is partially paved, in a cross pattern. It is from here, Hogwarts students watched the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic carriage and the Durmstrang Institute ship arrived at Hogwarts for the Tri-wizard Tournament. Good times!
Dear traveler, welcome! Breath in the fresh air of the beautiful Spring and sit down with your favorite book. But I have to say, the Giant Squid in the lake is much more fun to watch, as well as the far Quidditch practice. So maybe just sit with me and relax, how about a game of Wizard chess? ;)
