He can have stuff on his phone like phone numbers of other celebs and personal information about maybe his management or upcoming tours and albums which when leaked could be extremely fatal and just would threaten not only his but the privacy of many people and affect his career badly, which obviously wouldn't be anybody's first option. He saw a chance and thats why he escaped. If I was in that situation Id probably try to do the same thing as well, but then again thats just me. I hope you understand.
