Yemen consists of two Yemens, namely South Yemen, which consists of authentic Arab tribes from which the rest of the tribes of the Arabian Peninsula were formed. South Yemen is the first Arab country to open up to the Western, European and Russian outside world. It is a country with a lot of young cadres open to the outside world. South Yemen is a qualified and valid state to be a state like the rest of the countries that respect the rights of others to life, respect international conventions and preserve international shipping lines. While North Yemen has been a state since its founding, an arbitrary state run by a Zaydi lobby that controls and dominates all levers of power and wealth. North Yemen descended the origins of his sons to the Persians and Abyssinian. North Yemen consists of gypsy tribes that do not respect the rights of others in life and only believe in the logic of wars, murder, looting and intermittent plunder. Since its inception, North Yemen has never sought to be a sovereign state. Rather, the people of North Yemen are divided into three sections as follows: one third of the northern components follow Iran, one third follow Qatar, and the other third are silent. North Yemen is simply a semi-state because its sons are not qualified either scientifically, academically, or culturally. Rather, they do not have the minimum level of basic education. This was the policy of former President Saleh and the Yemeni Congregation for Reform Party (the Muslim Brotherhood in Yemen). South Yemen is like South Korea like life and respect others lives and wanna provide something for the other societies whereas North Yemen like North Korea just like to kill the lives of others and like to fight and make life a piece of hell. This is the easiest definition from which you can understand the difference between the Two Yemens

They do not worship the rock, the shrine is the grave of an Arab prophet named Hud. And the scholars have been gathering at that rock for hundreds of years. There are 2 main visits every year in which the scholars, students and general public gather to be reminded of their purpose of life the eternal message of all the prophets to be better people by obeying God’s commands and following the way of the prophets of God. So yeah definitely no worshipping rocks. I lived in tareem for many years and attended these gatherings. Lastly thank you for this report I really enjoyed it.

It's really refreshing to see Yemen represented in this way, with you on the ground, talking to people, visiting landmarks, learning about daily life. Most often we have few insights into what it's like in this part of the world, and what we do see is warped by news cameras that only want to show the worst of the worst and talk about conflict. It's a beautiful country full of friendly people and has such a vibrant culture, the side that gets forgotten about when all the coverage is of war and crisis. Of course those things are integral to life there at the moment, but the underlying humanity can be forgotten. Thankyou so much for travelling the world and bringing us reality, representing the people, and reminding us that anywhere you go in the world, we're all human and we have more in common than we don't. I usually don't leave comments on videos but I was called to respond and correct. You were in the valley of Prophet Hud, the shrine you dined in was part of his grave. And no, the people there don't worship "the sacred rock" or do a pilgrimage there, they only worship one God. The city of Tarim are filled with the descendants of the Prophet Muhammad, hence there are many scholars and saints living within that city. You are so blessed.

Dangerous country as everyone seemed to be armed, had several co-workers kidnapped despite having armed guards driving us around. Unfortunately the war broke out and we forced to evacuate to a safe house in Sanna for 3 days and then to Europe. Very scary experience having to hunker down in the midst of a war zone. Hopefully they can resolve this conflict so the citizens can return to a normal life that is free of conflict.

Wow you were in *Tarim* ! There are actually many foreigners (from the UK, USA, South Africa, Malaysia, Canada, etc) living there as they study Islamic studies at Dar Al Mustafa (Dar Al Zahra for women). It would have been interesting to have interviews with them so you could have got another perspective too! I went there myself in 2018 as a foreign student for 40 days as there's a special program for Western students who can't spend years studying there but still want to have the experience. I wish you had been explained more about Tarim, it's unique compared to the rest of the country and it's full of scholars and unique pious people. At least your guide said that they themselves don't carry weapons. I also wished you had been told that no, *no one worships a rock* lol, Muslims only worship God, but as someone mentioned, it's considered the tomb of the Arab Prophet Hud so people go to visit the prophet and it can actually get super packed. I feel like you missed the spiritual part of this part of Yemen but it depends on who you have as a guide I guess. I still enjoyed seeing your perspective! Stay safe, take care! God bless.
