The basic difference between going to IITs (through the JEE Advanced channel) versus going to IISERs is that IIT is not all about academics, IIT provides you with a great environment to explore things, a chance for to work on yourself and try different kinds of fields other than science, IIT is for that every person who clears JEE Advanced, IIT didn't compel the students that he/she can only do these certain set of things, moreover, IIT gives you full freedom to shape and select your career in the four years of your respective engg. course, these are the main reasons behind why IITs are so highly rated. On the other hand, IISERs are a very good option for those who are ready to devote their whole life to research and science, I would say IISERs are a better option than IITs for research and science geeks, but for those who are thinking IISERs as a backup plan for IIT and not much interested in the field of research, they gonna struggle a lot there and for those who did not come from a well-off family and wanna earn at an early stage, IISER is a bad option for those, because as also told in the video itself that students after graduating from IISERs have to do PhD in abroad if they wanna built a good career and earn a handsome amount, or if you don't wanna do PhD then you have to go for other career options like (UPSC-CSE, CAT etc.), and doing PhD abroad sounds very fancy and cool but ground reality would be very different, So if you are not ready to devote your whole life to books and studies then IISERs are not for you if you're thinking you will get as much freedom as one gets in IIT then you're wrong. For those who didn't clear IIT this year, IISERs are way better than doing B. Tech from any third-grade college and leading a mediocre life, only and only if you're ready to hustle very hard.
Emm, although I'm fully ready to devote myself to become a scientist, I would have also loved some of the fun that happens in IIT. After all, I also spent 2 high school years of my life and rejected parties and all to be able to get into IISER, isn't it? So I should deserve an year of fun too like the IIT students
@@M1551NGN0 Yes, your point definitely makes sense. But I guess fun is a very subjective thing, like for example I have friends for whom discussing science is fun, on the other hand, I too have friends for whom partying and visiting clubs etc is the minimum requirement of fun. So, I guess in this regard people will have a more diversified opinion. Moreover there is always a second side of the coin which we might not be aware of. For example the culture in IITs is deeply glorified and indeed they are no where near mediocre, but we have had seen examples of students who kind up messed up their life because of over participation in these activities. Im not in any means disrespecting IITs, there's definitely a reason IITs are considered the pinnacle of engineering in a vast country of India, and there's no denying that. Similarly in research institutes if your research guide is not good, then you are almost doomed. . But I guess the thing of comparing IITs vs IISERs, NISER is very illogical, coz it's like comparing moon and sun, there's absolutely no point of comparison, as their respective names itself distinguishes them, 'Institute of Research' and 'Institute of Technology'. And its solely depends on the student what he/she wants to pursue. The problem is when people seems to consider IISERs as a backup for not qualifying JEE/NEET, that's the seed of the problem.
A few points to clarify regarding the last video on the Reality of B.Tech in India: IIT Bombay stats: We are aware of the clarification provided by IIT Bombay in their post, stating that only 6% of students from the 2022-23 batch remain unplaced from the previous year. However, this does not disprove the fact that 36% of students are still not placed this year. We have mentors in our team from IIT Bombay, and the reality is that this clarification is merely an attempt to salvage the institution's image, which is not only applicable to IIT Bombay but also to other older IITs and NITs this year. I have elaborated on the reasons in the video. Future of B.Tech: The aim of making this video was to raise awareness among students to not blindly follow the herd. While IITs will remain the premier institutions of our country and thus provide an added advantage, there are only 17k seats in IITs and less than 2k seats in CS branches across India. Hence, the chances of securing a seat are less than 2%. The situation for students pursuing B.Tech from tier 2 and tier 3 colleges will be even worse. If you still doubt our words, simply reach out to anyone in their final year at these colleges, and you will grasp the reality. Most students struggle to find placements. What about the reality of IISERs: We will make a similar video addressing this topic. The purpose of the current video was to respond to comments from our IIT Madras registration video and provide a reality check on the current situation of B.Tech only, while also encouraging students to explore other options. Every institution has its pros and cons, and it's up to us to decide what works best for us. Instead of pursuing a B.Sc from regular colleges, students can consider options like IISERs and NISER, which can give them an edge in pursuing a research career compared to students from regular science colleges. This video was created by contacting SciAstra team members from IITs, NITs, and IIMs and critically examining the current and future prospects of B.Tech. We have no intention of spreading misinformation. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, and other major IT giants are indeed not hiring freshers this year, and the boom in the IT industry for placements has slowed down. Whether you accept it or not, AI is gradually replacing lower-level entry jobs. For projects that previously required thousands of coders, AI can significantly reduce the time and workforce required, inevitably affecting the job market. What is the solution? Whether you pursue B.Tech or B.Sc, having monetizable skills will ensure success in your career. With knowledge becoming more accessible and easy to acquire, the relevance of a degree is not as significant as it once was. If our discussion in the video made you feel that we were demeaning IITs and triggered your emotions, we apologize for it. However, what we discussed in the video was the ground reality, based on conversations with existing students and graduates regarding current and future prospects. All the best for your upcoming exams:) Regards, Team SciAstra
The issue is your approach... IIT, NIT, IIIT contains around 50k seats... And there are some good private colleges... So total is around 70k... Your whole video seems like IAT and NEST could be a better backup option but it's not... Total seats in IISER and NISER will sum up around 2.5k which is very very less compared to govt engineering colleges and Government medical College.... Spreading awareness is good but please don't sugar coat it my sister is at niser and I know the reality... Please strictly mention don't come there if you want an environment like engineering collage.. (coding + startup culture) come only if you are interested in research.... Otherwise there are lots of college DU BHU and many students can go if they can't clear neet jee.... Don't promote IISER's and NISER because they are a government institute or they have good facilities.... Promote them as the premium institute solely for "RESEARCH" And most of the students just want placement as soon as their bachelor's degree completes there is a very small fraction of students who are interested in research.... So promote accordingly so that students don't regret in the future 🙏
I m also an Almuni of NISER. I am well aware of all the facts. In IISERs and NISER more than half of the batch do not peruse research further in their career. Why do you want people to go to DU, BHU with less facilities and less exposure but not want them to come to IISER and NISER especially. In my friend circle my batchmates of NISER are earning more than most of my DU, BHU friends and some more than even IIT friends. The narrow mentality about IISER and NISER is the root cause of these colleges not getting the recognition they should get. The start-up culture and coding culture is created by the students in the college. If the students will be pasimistic and narrow minded how will they try multiple things. During our college itself we won the Best Student Entrepreneurship award in Odisha. We also come from IISER and NISER. We want to change this mentality and give the deserved attention these colleges should get. In future we are going to solve the problem of placements and skilling the students if they do not want to continue research further and help them, guide in all possible means if they want to pursue a career in research.
@@lit4624 Truely said 💯, I wish someone had told me this earlier, Now stucked in this institutes having no exposure to real life world and tech industry... 😢
See first of all engineering is not only about IT …. There’s lot of industries where engineers work there are different types of engineers.. if you don’t know…secondly govt of India is now focusing on manufacturing where core engineers are working… and I am observing placements in core engineering like mechanical and electrical is increasing..
Clearing research exam is difficult but not very difficult but staying in such Institutes require vigorous study without much fun activity. These Institutes also puts mere effort in understanding mental health.
Yes but there are good sports facilities in most of these institutes and if we plan our things well we can take care of our mental health. Even there are multiple cases of suicides in IITs.
Guys, sirf jee nhi hua isliye don’t come for research, as an alternative route theek hai, par you should know the lifestyle and issues at a research college, it’s tougher than engineering. See curriculum wise kuch engineering ke courses bhi tougher hai but unko compensate karne ke liye jyada free time and fun activities milta hai in comparison to a research focussed college. Also placement bhul ke hi aana, aisa nhi hai ki placement nhi milega but it’s very different and not what you have thought. Just reality bta raha hun, engineering karni hai toh aur bhi institutes hai but Jee nhi hua is chakkar mein idhar aa jana bohot harsh decision ho sakta hai for some.
even i was preparing for IIT, in my drop year. As a student who absolutely relied on self studies and no coaching in 11th and 12th, drop year seemed challenging. and the main issue with indian institutes is the population.even tho i cleared my jee with 94.9, but the cutoff each year just keep reaching new heights. and no one talks about how different IIT preparation is from your high school CBSE studies. more complex topics, and the formula based physics mcqs just doesn't get along with physics derivatives asked in board. and bro, they aligned the CBSE cirriculum with JEE MAINS, BUT NOT FKG JEE ADVANCED. how is this fair? why this discrepancy over JEE exam and boards?? simply, cause JEE is not selection, it's elimination. and I agree with the harsh reality, but it's also not different when when machines were taking over human jobs few years back. there was slump in job market at that time too. nevertheless it sure is concerning. I am sooo thankful for sciastra team!!! without them, i wouldn't have known about such institutes that fuel your passion and pays you to study!! without this video, i would have been just sitting here wasting my time overthinking. okay yes i know salary can be a big factor, and since idk much. i won't say anything. but it's just feels so empowering knowing even i can study at world's premiere institutes and more importantly pursue my passion! that's what matters right? no matter where you study, where you study follow your ambitions with hard work and proper planning. you can get what you want.
Hey there respected bhaiya ,please also tells us about the harsh reality of pursuing BSc in India i.e, job insecurity after completing BS degree in India or so many things whether it is positive or negative about that because every course has some pros and cons !!
@@Gotouchsomegrass-bs9nu Nope, working under a professor gives you experience and also very good salary and it's not slavery in any way, remember that Michael faraday also worked under davy?
JEE wasted totally couldn't clear cutoff just by 1 percentile general category..........Am not getting any support from my home to buy a course even after getting discount too........... feeling totally hopeless........Thanks bhaiya for making this video
@@SciAstra I've got a help from your side with a discount of 50% .............and then suddenly jee result came and now getting difficulty to get even that amount............ family's environment has totally changed with a lot of pressures.😖
If you haven't studied biology then IAT is tougher than jee mains... Due to IISc Bangalore and iit madars competition is booming this year.... Don't believe the previous cut off Mastering all 4 subjects is key to get in there
Also talk about CEBS-the harsh reality. Don't get misguided and come to cebs since it's just associated with niser, there are too many issues behind this institutes only, please show the other side also.. Anyone reading this comment, before getting admision to this institutes do verify all the sides of the college, don't just come on the tag that it's affiliated with DAE, tifr, iit bombay and all... Good luck 🤞
There are internal issues with every institute you talk about. Even IISc, IIT Bombay have their issues. Our first aim should be to have multiple options in getting the best possible institution we can and then we need to criticially think about what we want from our life and what best aligns with your future goals. This video is all about giving a check about not everything is good in Btech and we should also be open to other options and one such es things institutions rather than going for normal BSc, MSc
@@SciAstra I'm not denying your pov but the things they showcase on their websites and the reality is totally different. Institutions need to be genuine about their stuff and don't misguide people. We also trust your reviews that's why asking you to also put the ground reality of these institutes.
@@stanlee4029 They say that they are sister institute to niser but don't provide the facilities a niserite get and above all defend themselves like they are small institutes. After visiting website you'll see Nalanda building and you'll think that classes happens there but only labs are over there and classes happens elsewhere in Mumbai university campus. They don't have any placement cell. And many more such things...
Aise toh IIT students bhi keh sakte hai ki baaki placements na lene wale log government jobs and teaching , MBA , etc ke liye jaate hai. So whats the point of btech's harsh reality?
IITs to best college maane jaate hain h...Hum bus ye bta rhe hain jaise log baat krte hain esa nhi hai BTech m har cheez accha Hain ye...BTech ka log mtlb keval Placements se krte hain...Humara point hai k aur bhi options hain BTech h keval nhi hai

hey bhaiya...i am currently preparing for jee 2025 ...but just in case if i can't make it to engineering...i will become. a scientist.... so, i will also give iat and nest...i have pcm and i am having an ok ok preparation. which i am planning to make really great by the end of this year...if i study for jee...mains and adv... will i need to study anything extra for iat and nest...i am currently already taking coaching for jee....so will i need to do anything extra...and if yes plss tell what to do...and even if i make it through jee i will still consider being an scientist as i love physics
Sir please free yt crash course for IAT 😥😥 Btw thank you so much sir ♥️🙏 Sb jee ke pichhe pde h sabko likes or views chaiye aap hi mile jo btate h ki jee hi sb kuchh nhi h 🔥💫
And sir make a one separate video also where you are discussing about dark reality of research and development . stipend problem after bs ms , and also package problem like placement problems etc plz make a video !
After graduating from NISER why are you totally dependent on RU-vid? Why don't you pursue higher education or working as scientist? If science education ignites your thinking then why should you stuck to coaching?
Hi I want join for Vikram 2025 course from abroad. I think the app is not downloadable out of India.stil can we purchase this course and study without app.please advise.

Log bas ghiske engg college jaana chahte ho taaki enjoy kar sake? Why don't you aim for robust, vibrant, and holistic learning, and an enviable forum of pedagogy? Why do many not take delight in envisioning an augmented study schedule and daily grind in college life?
There is nothing like placements in a research institute they are just sugar coating it to let you feel iiser is better than engineering....(They are only for studies not for placements)
Except ISI, CMI, placements kisi bhi Research Institute mein nhi hoti. Not even in IISc. Placements chahiye to Engineering Karo, Research nhi. Tier 3 Engineering Institutes mein bhi placements mil jaati hain. Research is a serious commitment (around 10 yrs of Education) and you can't go into Research expecting money. Research mein paise nhi hai. Yhi Reality hai.
Sir agar chemistry Mera optional subject hai and physics, math , biology main subject hai to kya iisc Bangalore Mai bsc programme mai apply ke liye eligible hai
Bhaiya abroad me phd kese krte he like kiya criteria he wo toh bta diya hota kiu ki agr kisi ko toh abroad me phd krne ka mauka nhi milta na toh kese milta he ye mauka wo ak video me plz clear kr dijiye plz ....!..

IIT is not more than job producing factory because it give very low level skill due to toxic nature of surrounding, students pursuing other career option in IIT 😂 students in IIT are very less serious in science, iiser is by far better in terms of producing skill. I see many cases where students very desperate to learn skill at the start of 4th year because they have skill not more than 12th students, very soon all will understand the reality of these institute.
