Hands down best video I have ever seen on teaching you to play a game. Watched tons of videos on this game and none explain it as clearly as you do thank you!!
21'38 : retreat. Small mistake spotted : you can't do partial retreats. In the reference book, it states : "When a player retreats, he must move all of his ships out of the system. The player can choose to leave ground units and TIE Fighters behind in the system." Thanks for your videos anyway : these are by far the best available. Hyper professional and super clear.
16:40 You made a critical mistake here. The Rebel player only reveals if their base is in the system if the Imperial player lands a ground unit on the system planet, not when they immediately enter the system.
I know you covered it in part one but with both base and advanced setup the Rebel player chooses their hidden base rather than just a draw. I actually like the idea of shuffling and drawing one though because it gives an element of unknown to the Rebel. It almost feels like you are a newly promoted Rebel Soldier into higher ranks and now finally learned the location of the actual base. I cannot overstate how much I love this game and how well put together your video's are!!!
this..unless their was an errata i dont know of. The 3 rebel cards are also shuffled back into the probe deck and then the rebel chooses a base location. only the 5 imperial systems are left out. not the rebel systems. So the rebel can choose his rebelbase out of 26 systems. not 23
Wow the best tutorial on this game on RU-vid. You just got a new fan of your channel. Good work. I was in doubt of buying this game. But you changed my mind.
So, quick clarifications, compiled: In the case of an opposed mission where both factions have the same total points, the mission fails. Just in case someone missed it - when a mission fails and is not one of the four starting missions, it is discarded in the same way as if it succeeded (without resolving the effect, of course). If a mission is still under a leader because it was not played it goes back to the hand. When you retreat you must retreat all units that do not require transports (all space units except TIEs) Rebel players still choose their base locations in advanced set-up and the Rebel cards are included in the base location selection, though this variant rule of randomizing it may add a very interesting aspect if a game is getting a bit stale.
An often misunderstood rule: No matter how many units you have can only roll 5 dice of each color per attack round. So if the total of all your unit attacks is 10 red you can only roll 5...then the other player goes...then you then roll what's left (up to 5 per color)...etc.
Hello. I think the suggested setup is incorrect. Please refer to the manual to correctly assign miniatures to the board. Bothawui, Mustafar, Sullust, Corellia and Rebel Base need to be adjusted, as per the manual! Besides that, great video!
