I totally relate to you and this is exactly what I’m always telling myself over n over again about my person. I didn’t lose anything, it was him who lost a gem and he did me a favor. Our gain girlfriend and their loss. We deserve a man and not a child who’s too freaking scared to face their fears. I find this kind of behavior to be so unattractive. Group 3 and EVERYTHING IS CORRECT. In my case it is not about a person that I love romantically but a friend. Or at least I see him as a friend of mine. In the beginning we spend talking all night. It was so much fun for me. I felt safe and comfortable even though we were kind of strangers. We began to text daily and I noticed that I was more and more looking forward to his text to a point were it was kind of obsessive. I asked myself why I felt this way when I wasn’t even in love and I still don’t know why... he started to text less and less, ignoring my questions and I felt confused. Did I do something to annoy him? I caught myself thinking more and more about him to a point where I couldn’t stop. Today I decided to end this for my own good. I've been in a toxic connection for awhile and he always comes back and we'll be doing just fine, then he'll say he doesn't want a relationship, but we couldn't just be friends either..this cycle has been on repeat, we stop talking for a few months, but the moment he would text me I would reply. Probably noone will read this story, but I have to tell it. Your reading (pile 3) was so spot on for me. Years ago, I don't even remember how long, I met someone in an online game from a country far away. I was in another relationship at the time and my partner was very abusive. And this person saved me. We finnaly met each other in real life and had a short relationship, which I wanted to continue but he didn't. After a while I was in a new relationship and he came back, this time he wanted to be with me but I couldn't forgive him. Till this day, probably almost 10 years later, I have him in my heart. And I know he has me in his as well. We were too young, he had no money at that time, we came from different cultures and he didn't see a future for us because everything seemed so difficult. Afterwards he tried to make things right but for me I felt too betrayed. Now I have a family, a daughter and a partner that loves me. But I still dream about him (actual dreams not daydreaming). pile 3: i had to block him. i was constantly waiting for him to change, maybe realize how worth it i am. but all that waiting led to disappointments, so i distanced myself. in response to me distancing myself, he became more aggressive in pursuing me and got petty whenever i mentioned the possibility with someone else. i reenforced my boundaries. he still did the same thing. that’s when i realized that he would never respect my boundaries. it became draining. it’s not my job to keep him in check. so i blocked him. it’s been almost a month but i still think about him everyday 😔

I have officially Given Up on mine. Pile 3 was accurate for me. I got told he's never going to come through for me, so I give up. Being "friends" when one of you wants the other one and it's not mutual isn't really "friendship," now is it. He probably won't even notice if I never text him again since god knows I had to initiate most of the time (esp. in pandemic). Yeah, #2 is me. I told him off in the end and said that the person he presented himself to be is not the one I got. It's been dead and I've been the one to enact no contact since then. However, every once in a while I'll have an intense memory of him, then lo and behold, I see that he's stalking my Insta under a different name. This fool doesn't give up! Hopefully he invests in a therapist with the same vigor. 💀

#3 COMPLETELY ON POINT! I'm so I'm love with him but we haven't spoken in weeks. I've been going on with my life but I can't stop feeling connected to him. I have TRIED SO. MANY. Pile 3: Resonated with me tremendously. Daniel and I were partners at work. We spent a week together before I was transferred to another station. Our first week was magical and unforgettable. I bought him lunch twice and let him use my phone to call his parents when he had gotten sick. I noticed he would sneak glances at me, giggle, and openly smile at me. The love I gave to him, he returned it to me tenfold. Since we’re both men, I felt like either he was closeted and was crushing on me, or he didn’t feel that way for me at all. He texted and told me he wasn’t in to me, and that he was already in a relationship. I didn’t want to argue so, I didn’t respond. However, during my last week at work, we ran into each other during lunchtime. My heart raced and pure adrenaline, I was filled with. He avoided me, but still would gaze at me across the room. I sent him an email 4 days before my departure and he hadn’t replied since then. In closing, outside of work, I’d see his name everywhere, and I would see him in my dreams. What an emotional roller-coaster that was. I will always love you Daniel.
