Ok I think that would actually be a really funny series. Like a pro who mains a race getting coached by a pro who doesn't main the race. Reynor playing zerg coached by harstem etc
The "changeling" what Reynor saw was a drone rallying from the third to the main. It was perfectly timed, because what Reynor saw was the overseer went there and that exact time the drone left the vicinity of the evo chamber and he could see something going from the overseer to the main.
I think in that cyclone game the main issue was that you couldn't split hard enough to get the surround. the attempts at surround were almost always 90 degree angles. Like if those banes had gone further right before angling in and the roaches backed up a little to try to suck the cyclones onto the ramp instead of pushing them into kite, then you might have gotten the banes into the main body of the cyclone group
It's nice to see how experienced in ZvZ Raynor is... At about 7min when Harstem said "This guy is owning me" I also thought something similar, but Raynor be like "Nah, you're fine" and Harstem win that TF.
Just so you don't have to look back at the video for why the mic was so far away from Raynor. Raynor was wiping his nose a lot. It looks like this video was taken when he was still sick. The mic was NO where near Raynor's backside, as Harstem suggested.
good matches, I think its the hydra that helps roaches against cyclones, because roaches dont have the range, or damage, they just have the health pool for the hydras. Other then that, perhaps making the brood lords in the enemy dead space instead of your own base, for the end game dead space turtle all in that is so vicious and hold position'y -- Cyclones weakness comes from its low health and wide surround area, but they dps zerglings too well for you to properly exploit the wide surround area (unlike zealots which live longer and are more efficient), also known as the collision radius, thus the better unit, if I remember correctly, was the the roach for the mid game damage soak and the hydra for the range. when low on gas zerglings can also supplement roaches but wont soak as much damage as roaches will, hurting your mineral to damage soak ratio. Ultras are too in cumbersome and flop around like dead fish to cyclones. Cyclones are unique in their high attack speed high movement speed high damage low cost with fast build speed and high build count. there is not much in the data to compare them too, with the exception of the spine crawler. they have more health, more damage, if but a tiny bit less range, they them selves are decent against cyclones, when on top of ramps, behind evo chambers, and uptop cliffs. Spine crawlers deal bonus damage to cyclones, because cyclones count as being armored, and spine crawlers deal bonus damage to armored units. Vipers can also significantly hurt cyclones, by reducing their range, the zerglings can better close the distance, taking less hits, being safer, because the overall range of the center of the cyclone death ball is reduced too much for the outer edges of the cyclone deathball to live. Cloud also helps the other vipers live longer. I found in data tests ai vrs ai that viper ling hydra is fairly scary against non mobile cyclones/marauder balls. How ever, ai are only so test worthy. The Spine crawler really is a sit and turtle kind of asset. vastly inferior to the cyclones map control. But I cant think of much else that is early game for zerg to do against it. Based on ai testing. So perhaps mass spine crawler, with early roach defense, with later support team of hydra lurker to viper? instead of corruptor ravager infestor? not sure. perhaps worthy of a try. Im not sure there was alot more to be done for that one regardless. The cyclone does feel kind of awful doesnt it? perhaps 18 damage 1.00 attack speed is just too high, I can taste the nerf bat comin from a mile away, due to the numbers. but was still a fun round to watch. well done.
6:13 yeah there was a blip in minimap, also Raynor said kill 4th not going to kill him. Maybe blip was overseer ? Darn I love their banter, they must love eachother
Bro, I went back to watch the minimap and I also could've sworn that there was a changeling. Turns out it was just a drone bc Harstem took his main gas so late
The other day i had someone stomp me hard, i was about to leave, mid his attack he gg'd me and started telling me i was dead it was rude to stay in... i came back and won out of spite. The tilt..
I'm no zerg expert but i think going mass hydra in the last game should have won you the game without the infestors or broods. The problem with roaches isn't the speed it's the low range so cyclones can lock on and run away without being punished
Weird how *NEITHER OF THE TWO* could assess correctly how/why Harstem lost game 1. ... : *NAMELY: too slow on upping the extractor gas count and on keeping par with the upgrades....* Frankly, I'm NOT convinced that killing that fourth base when he had the chance would have netted him the game... :P (although it would have *STILL* been *the CORRECT play* in that particular moment in the game; At least good on them to mention that option in their post-game analysis...) .
@@Hephera I'm old and making stuff easier to read... *mainly FOR MYSELF... :P* (I can understand how that leads to the, in this case _INCORRECT_ , assumption that it also makes it *easier **_FOR OTHERS_** too...* ) My bad! :P .
Don't encourage being BM. That's not nice. I'm tired of the ladder being so toxic with players saying 'out' the moment they think they are winning, or insulting you whenever they can or when they loose.
