I usually click on Charlies video's to see the condition of the area. The interview with the resident was the highlight of this one. Praying for that man. best of luck. He has the right attitude.
My hometown. You should have went down Bedford street where I was raised. But yes pretty much I grew up in that whole area. Had to get out though. Moved to New York 💪
What happened ..crazy , Never know sometimes ..I've lost friends bt never an immediate relative, such as a sibling.. b easy .. Ik it's Easier said than done
Born & raised. I can say those streets created me and my tough skin. Moving to FL was a breeze. Pop Smoke, “Paranoia, I'm havin' thoughts in my head.” #AreYouFromHere?
No major city, no major sports teams, no major rappers no major anything! Lol! Man i feel sorry for yall. I have met people from CT tho. They all tend to act a bit over the top with the tough act.
coming from the area, yeah, they used to be nice. a lot of old communities in hartford that the new generations in the 60's onward just dont respect. and the city really doesnt take care of the black communtiy in hartford. you can be in one street with houses built in the 1800s worth 500-1million, then 1 street over theres houses built in the 40's that are destroyed and the people cant get out of the hood. its sad. but thats how it is here
you should definitely interview someone from New Haven. My in-laws are from there it's an interesting city. You got the rich Yale campus but they got some certified hoods. They've cleaned up downtown a lot but it's still rough in parts.
@@jlotto203 idk it seemed worse back in the 80s an 90s everyone was on the corner doing their thing you just don't see ppl outside like back in the day but there's reasons for that, cameras are everywhere, ppl playing videogames an on their phones all day and the ect.

OMG!!! I love this! I was born and raised in Hartford but moved to GA in 2005. As bad as it looks in this video, Hartford is home. I miss it like crazy. This video brought back so much. I grew up on one of the streets shown here. It's amazing how much it has changed.
Yeah I grew up in Hartford and moved to Miami Florida in ,2012.I back and forth to Hartford a couple times a year.going up there Easter weekend. That shit feel different when you leave and come back. It look depressing coming from Miami, but DAT home forever no matter where I go fam
LMFAOOOO WHEN YOU TURNED DOWN MARTIN I WAS LIKE "WTF", it's crazy I lived on this street my whole life and never noticed how depressing it looked maybe it's because all the fun memories I have on this street, man I love my city but hate our ways 🤧

@@jacobbutters8818 I live in Springfield, Mass, and I'll say that Hartford is easily one of the roughest cities between Boston and NYC. Can't always tell how tough an area is with a day time drive through, and I'll you, it gets wild out here.
Yo I'm from the South End of Hartford. I grow up in the old Dutch Point projects. It's home it's hard but it builds character. You need to be in Hartford around the summer. If you going speak about the city get it from all four sides. West Hartford , The South End , The North End and East Hartford.
Yo that's what I said I live in the North End I grew up in the South End this dude doesn't know anything about Hartford I'm pretty sure we can show him some things around here that will have his head spinning
Lots of life going on in Hartford. Other than being wintertime, it doesn't look bad. Businesses open, school buses going by, traffic and street lights on, pedestrians.
If you say so, if you ever visit don’t go out at night. And if you are white stay out of certain neighborhoods at any time of the day, the people that live there will either think that you are buying or that you are snitching. And the cops will definitely think you are buying and they will beat your ass worse than the dudes on the corner.
Businesses n school busrd n traffic lights n pedestrian are in every hood,so every hood not bad lol smh....northeast hoods are grimes than any in America trust me,from looks todrugs,to drugs, n murders

Nice video , plz do Springfield, Massachusetts hoods next...Springfield is like a half hr from Hartford...& Holyoke Ma hoods too , Holyoke is 10 min from Springfield! (South Holyoke hoods)
Living in Detroit before bankruptcy, I was often of the opinion that photos of run-down neighborhoods was often exploitative and, at that time, played out. As time passes and the world changes, though, this kind of footage of the world as it is can be invaluable. My opinion has changed. I think what you do is cool. Keep doing it.
yup, Central Falls...1 square mile of shit. Nicknames have included "cocaine capital" , "sparkle city" from broken beer bottles-at one point a bar on every corner.
People may have their opinions about Hartford but this is home to many of us such as myself & my family since my great grandparents immigrated here from Italy in the early 1900's. I know that the area I live in, the west end, has been working hard over the year's trying to bring in more businesses & opportunities. Will it make a difference? We have yet to find out.
@CharlieBo313 --- Here you go Charlie, "Undercover police went to Detroit and posed as drug dealers. However, thanks to a mess up, another police group thought that they were real drug dealers and so they raided the house in what turned out to be one of the most embarrassing things ever seen in the department according to the Police chief. The incident occurred when officers from the 12th precinct in Detroit went undercover with the purpose of pretending to be drug dealers so they could arrest buyers. Two buyers went to the house where the pretend drug dealing police officers were but they were actually police going undercover to arrest people selling drugs. They were from the 11th district of Detroit police. They began to search the place when they arrived and they were wearing body cams that captured the whole incident of the officers fighting and punching each other." ..... see the article link internationalhighlife.com/undercover-cops-arrest-eachother/?

I had a job for a couple of years as a mobile technician and western MA and CT down past Hartford was my territory. I was in this neighborhood quite often. I had to work outside, sometimes right on the side of the street, I never had a problem down there beyond the normal things all customer service people encounter . Granted, I was there during the daytime during business hours, but no unusual incidents. Occasionally, we would meet with our colleagues from around New England, and it was the guys from rural areas up north by the Canadian border that had the crazy tales of having their life threatened and having guns pulled on them. My worst encounter with people was in Belchertown, MA a so called "nice" town, and that only involved a lot of yelling and threatening amounting to nothing. All of us were always more afraid of dogs than people. If you're diligently working and minding your business, people tend to leave you alone.
Hartford baby..yes theres hoods in ct..n this aint nothing..we had 6 projects and in conflict with one another..im fro. Name your channel "Real America" and you'll get much much more subscriptions. Duplicate this name in the description of the channel in the languages of Europe and Asia then subscriptions will be millions.
@@CharlieBo313 don't write "in the US" in many languages USA = just America. We say America when we mean the United States and when we talk about other American countries we call them by name(Mexico, Brazil, Canada, etc.). Do it.
Detroit Rockin ReG Maury, Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, the Trisha Goddard show all produced in Stamford and WWE is headquartered there. ESPN headquarters is in Bristol.
Katphena S I was born in SF I recently had to relocate I ended up in ct pretty close to Hartford. Seeing your comment made me want to go back if I could.
Also, when you first started RU-vid, were you doing this when you were on a vacation from your job or where you just always doing these? This must pay a toll on your car driving all these miles (if you don’t rent a car). Much love and support
Wingnutcaseman People still use that phrase heavily. It’s not just temporary slang to some people, it is a phrase that becomes apart your language. It’s like some one asking “do you follow what I’m saying” or do you follow me etc. don’t get me wrong. It’s nothing wrong with it.
I Love ALL of Charliebo's vids but I randomly thought "wonder if He does any video's in Connecticut..?" Because I just don't think of Hood's when it comes to Connecticut but I found out different.
@@notsure6187 very different towns as well. Overall good place to live. I grew up in Bloomfield, Hartford and Elmwood west Hartford -- live 30 min outside of hartford now but work there.
