A slow drive around Hartlepool on Monday 18th March 2024.
Starting at Hart Village we head down towards the Headland via Easington road and West View road. Driving around the Headland we then drive through the Marina and along to Seaton Carew. From There we move up to Catcote road via Seaton Lane and Owton Manor Lane. We then head down Oxford Road to take a drive through the town along York road. We turn up Grange Road to Ward Jackson Park before heading back to Hart Village.
This was a nice slow leisurely drive on one of the nicest days of the year so far with lovely bright sunshine and comfortable temperatures, looks like Spring is well and truly on its way.

It's been quite a few years since I last went to Hartlepool, I used to come down for a drive from Whitley Bay just to see somewhere different. The video was more interesting for my wife than me, because she's never been to the UK. She thought it looked very tidy and well maintained, and given we live a long way from the sea it was interesting for her to see it. I've no idea of the temperature, despite the sunshine I suspect it was quite cool. On Monday it was 39 degrees C in northern Thailand and cold weather is one of the things about life in the north east of England I don't miss. Interesting video.

39 degrees that's too hot we in the north east of England are cartwheeling down the street when it is 21 degrees lol🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

GSF. I had my first job in that building. A Saturday job before leaving school back in the early 70's. A department store that put me behind the counter on their men's department. "Oh suits you, Sir". "Suits you!" Sadly, no Johnny Depp. I loved working there I really did. HAPPY DAYS. ❤ x

Later I became the Manager of the Hartlepool Electricity Board Showroom. I love working there too. I really did. HAPPY DAYS. ❤ x

Despite the strikes etc, life was so much better then. Born and raised in Hartlepool, left many years ago though I do still have friends there. I remember the electricity board well. Happy days.
