Man, I miss these foods, I was stationed in the Philippines twice and every weekend I would take the family every where and ate almost everything. My second son is even married to a Filipina born in Negros Island. They meet here in TX studying Medicine.

Here in bicol we usually cooked it with coconut milk with either of freshwater shrimp, dried fish or sardines plus a bit spice of chili for excellent and superb taste. Bamboo shoots usually thrive and grow during the wet season in our country. I still remember when my lola used to cooked us this dish with shrimp when i was younger but i never really eat it or even try it cause for me it doesn't look appetising. But now that I'm older 26 yrs old i find it so yummy. Lola's food is the best and full of love. ❤
