If you make the duck pond and don’t save every night, because she lives in the duck pond sometimes it will fall apart in a storm and she will be gone 😭 Also Celia canonically gets sick in the rain but she will just stay inside on rainy days she’s not going to disappear from the game or anything

Old games were brutal lmao! I played ds cute, I didn’t even realise the boy versions could marry the mermaid, princess, etc!

Yrah this was by far the best Harvest Moon game. A good remake of this that fixed all the bugs and snoothed out some of the annoying grind would have truly been on par with Stardew Valley.

Same here! I never even got married in mine yet, I really wanna dig it out and play again. There was just so so much to do! And I remember always looking things up online about different mine levels, birthdays, different heart events etc. i wrote them down in a notebook. I didn’t want to miss anything! Which made me play very slowly since I liked to be planned and prepared.

Thank you! And that's so sad! I'll definitely cry if I ever save over any of my DS files. 😆 Magical Melody is so much easier to progress through though. It's a good one to go to to recover from that.

Soda cans 😆 Since they're Cute and not the boy version, most of the glitches should be fixed regardless of the numbers.

You can play it on pc with an emulator! Im starting it tomorrow ! Or maybe ill play back to nature first

I feel that a lot for a lot of things. It's sad how people stop talking as much about things you're still very into. I’ve read through a lot of old threads for Harvest Moon games that I would've liked to be a part of if I had internet at the time. People will talk about DS some on Reddit. I like when people are still shocked to learn about Mason.

@@Garnet_and_Eggs i've played some other titles before, but i'm still very new in the hm/sos franchise. i just started playing ds cute for the first time and i didn't know about mason, so that's all news to me, too. i played ds, but totally ignored ds cute until this year, because i thought it would only have the same characters/bachelors. so, when i saw skye on the marriage candidates list, i instantly knew i had to do it for him. and, i'm a person that likes to play as a male character on most games. can't wait for the day when we get a ds remake with same-sex marriage, so i can marry skye and be who i am. ♡

I really hope they do remake it so you can do that! Skye is a favorite of mine too. And since he and the other special candidates were new and not anyone's descents, I would want them to look more or less the same as they already look. Skye and Leia are already perfect to me.

@@Garnet_and_Eggs skye is already a pretty boy, so i don't think they will change him too much like they did with the bachelors on the a wonderful life remake. i mean, some of those guys were way too far from being attractive and that's probably why they even added skye in ds cute, hehe. but yeah, leia and skye are perfect, so i hope they keep their looks almost the same as before. fingers crossed! ✨

@@Garnet_and_Eggs There's nothing wrong with that lol I just thought it was funny But either way the video was pretty good! Hopefully Marvelous will revisit all their old titles, but until then, I plan on enjoying the AWL remake as much as I enjoyed the FoMT remake! 😁

A guess it depends on which parts of the game you liked most. A Wonderful Life, which got remade recently, takes place in the same valley with more or less the same weird characters, but the gameplay is completely different. Short seasons, more realistic animals, and a lot of focus on raising your kid. It's my favorite. Friends of Mineral Town, which also has a remake, shares some characters and has more similar gameplay, but it has a little less to do than DS. Very peaceful though. I feel like Magical Melody might actually be the most similar to DS, maybe? It has the classic farm mechanics, collecting music notes the same way you collect sprites, and you have to decide when and where to place your barns and coops like in DS instead of them already being there, and you get way more land to work with. The characters look a little odd though.

@@Garnet_and_Eggs Indeed! Nami was the only marriage candidate I'd married multiple times. When I'd use to own GG and HM AWL. I always thought Nami had the coolest looking goth image son with nicest red hair. Did you Garnet loved the image of Nami son too?
