harvested, the fruit grows in the ground and brought to the market to sell, survival alone #survival #farmlife #harvest #gotomarkettosell #fruitintheground
Your such an amazing young man. Always finding ways to earn money for yourself and your farm. And today your gathering a strange and unique looking fruit to bring to the marketplace to sell. What kind of fruit is it? It's looks big and heavy. And people at the marketplace seem to love the fruit. You sold all of them except for one. And glad that you bought some meat for your dogs with some of the money. You always take such good care of them and now also the puppies and the rest of the animals on the farm. Thanks for the awesome video. Have a great day.❤👍
Actually, this is not a fruit, but a tuberous vegetable, the bulb of a huge flower that has not yet sprouted . It is commonly referred as suran, elephant yam or elephant foot yam, scientifical name is Amorphophallus paeoniifolius, it is native to South Asia.
Agree that it's a yam of some kind but Amorphophallus don't grow in clusters like that, you get one main bulb and then small off-sets, not a great big cluster of equally sized bulbs. The main bulb flowers and then dies, then the off-sets grow and flower in their turn. I grow Amorphophallus for their flowers as a hobby, those ain't them. My guess is that it's a Dioscorea varietal.

Son para comerselos, primero los matan a palos con cañas de bambú para ablandarles la carne, luego les cortan el cuello para desangrarlos y se los comen asados con salsa picante. Informate un poco y verás lo poco enternecedora que es la imagen.
There are so many things like this in Ishan forests in Edo state Nigeria. We don't eat them. We don't know that they are edible. They also might be poisonous to some other cultures. I remember eating some local food in Niger republic. Shortly afterwards, I began to spit without end. Whenever I stopped spitting, my tongue would gum to my mouth. I had to use my hand to free it. It dawned on me to eat chili peppers. That saved me.
I would love to know the name of the fruit. Also how do you eat it. I kinda looks like a big yam or a sweet potato but looks to hard for it to be. How do you prepare it to eat. Is it sweet or sourer. Thank you for sharing your video. ❤❤❤❤🤗
It's dyeing yam, named Dioscorea Cirrhosa, it could be edible and medicinal used, but mostly and commonly, it's used for dyeing fabrics into brown color.
what is the name of these fruits? Where is this place. I'm from Vietnam living in the Dakotas in the United States. I'm curious to know; what these fruits are. Thank you...

Dioscorea cirrhosa; The tubers have a very high tannin content and are used to dye and preserve fabrics. The tuber is edible. The tubers contain 6-13% tannin. This is used for preserving nets and leather as well as for colouring clothes made from ramie, silk and cotton a brown colour. The tubers are harvested when about 3 years old, the harvesting taking place in the dry season when the red flesh has a high tannin content. The tubers should be harvested with care to ensure that they are not broken or bruised. They should be protected against desiccation because they lose much of their colouring properties when desiccated. For dyeing and tanning purposes, the tuber are peeled and the flesh is rasped. About 3 litres of water is added to 1 kg of rasped flesh, and clothes or nets are dipped in the hot or cold solution remaining after filtering, and afterwards dried in the sun. This handling is repeated several times, until the desired reddish-brown colour is attained. The dye rapidly loses its activity, and best results are obtained with fresh solutions.

Fungi? Sobreviver sem entender o impacto causado é caminhar para a própria morte. Parece ser um fungo que cresce associado às raízes de árvores locais. Quanto tempo demora para crescer? Quais espécies se associam para formar esses "frutos"?
Yami is wat we call it In Jamaica! Its like wild yam. Peal and boiled in water and sliced and serve with veg and/or meat! Very stachy. Famers also domesticate it and plant it along side yam to consume while yam grows or in drough season. .
