Awesome show, thank you. Nice recipes, beautiful children, all lovingly cared for, by a wonderful couple of parents. Puck's humming is a splendid barometer of the contended moments in her life. And the produce coming from the garden, being stored in glass jars shows it is all working. Can't wait for your flat bread creation. Have an excellent week.
I love every minute of your videos. You are so talented and always expose your sweet children to everything you do so they will learn. Your gardens are beautiful and produce extremely healthy food for your family. That's how we do. I love going into the garden and harvesting what is available to plan for the days meals. The meals you prepare look so delicious. Janice from Arkansas USA
What a beautiful quiche. If you want to save money on pie crust (or not have to fiddle with making it) I've been using thinly sliced potatoes for the crust and it's so flavorful! Thank you for these beautiful and inspiring videos. It's a lot of work!
You prepared such beautiful food! I’m eating healthier and these meals were something I aspire to 😊 The way you planted your garden with so many flowers make the work easier to do. Sweet babies💞 you’re doing just right. 🌺♥️
Hi Lea and family, I love your placid attitude to life, you children are wild and free and happy and you can now finally reap the benefits of all your hard work in the garden. After all that work you can provide meals for your family. Can I suggest that you make the most of your home grown abundance by eating as many of the veggies as you can without peeling the skins off because that is where the most nutrition can be found, I never peel any root vegetables or fruit if the skin if it is edible. I love your flowers especially the red sunflowers, they are new to me. It's lovely to see the kids so interested in the daily farm events they are learning so much from being a part of the daily routines, hats off to the chickens for their daily supply of eggs. I think you do an astonishing amount of work every day and I thank you for your efforts in showing us your life, be kind and gentle with yourself, you are amazing!!!🥰😘🤗💕💕👌👍👍👍🐕🐈⬛🐔🐓🍋🍑🫐🍅🍅🍆🫑🧄🧅🍞🥔🧀🥚🥚🍳🥗🧂I do get carried away with the emojis sorry !!
The recipes are mouthwatering, and your adorable children bring so much joy. Puck's humming is heartwarming. The garden's produce is a testament to your hard work and love. Looking forward to your flatbread creation. Have a wonderful week ahead! 🌿🌽🥦
Not sure is you already know about this, but there is an effective way to easily.peel peaches. Blanch in boiling water for about 30 seconds, the peels will slip off. There are lots of RU-vid videos that review how to do this. I grew up on a tender fruit farm, we processed a LOT of fruit, including peaches, always blanched and slipped the skins off. Added bonus, you don't lose any of the tasty peach flesh with the peel.
Thanks for keeping it real. I’m on my own and there are days when I’m just not up to creating exotic or complicated dishes. Here in Australia we are at the tail end of Winter and so there will be plenty of things to plant. Thanks for sharing your achievements and challenges with us. It’s really appreciated. ❤️
Fab video with some lovely recipes. I was so relaxed watching you, it was such a relaxing video. You both work so hard working with the seasons. But I take my hat off to you. Take care. ❤
Glad to see you back with a new style of filming and hopefully it works for you, you have given me a few ideas on dishes straight away, keep up the good work and keep up those happy free range children chortling!
I'm happy to see you another video. I love all your cooking. I've never thought to roast a whole eggplant. I will have to try that. Your children are really growing. They are so cute and so nice that they help you in the garden and the kitchen I'm sure they like it even though it probably makes more work for you. Making good memories.
What a wonderful video, love your cooking skills with recipes, reminds me of my upbringing in Zimbabwe on the farm. We had a large variety of fruit trees, berries including granadela or passion fruit (4 types) avocado. We grew enough pumpkins, gem squash for a year because they do keep well, squashes potatoes and about a dozen herbs. Just watching you reminds me of those times. Keep up the great work to be self sufficient.
Use the back of your knife to scrape. It will not dull your knife as fast. Crack your eggs on the counter, not the side of the bowl. Good cooking vid! Thank you 😊 💓
Gorgeous food so appetising and generous. pucks little face was so gorgeous when she looked with some concern towards her brother pre egg mix going into berry desert. Such a classic.
Great video, hard work is rewarded. A long time ago, more than 70 years ago in fact we left Northern Holland and started anew in Alberta. I well remember the very large garden my parents had. In the fall we processed pail after pail of beans, carrots, cauliflower and enough patotes to last till spring. It's was years before I ever ate lettuce and such. When freezing vegetables became popular, hours of canning came to the end. How things chance, mostly for the better as the food served in the video are ample evidence.
You're doing a great job with the garden. Your meals look so delicious and nutritious so give yourself a pat on the back for doing o well in the dry conditions in Portugal right now.
Lovely recipes Lea, can't wait to try them. I love seeing the children joining in. The next video is eagerly awaited!! Nothing like cooking your own food brought in from the garden.

Such a lovely Video, it looks ideal there at the moment. Its so nice to see your children helping and being involved. Your a great mum giving your children this environment to thrive, grow and learn in. I hope to one day do that with mine too. a one year old and a three year old but its making that jump from our comfortable life to something more more different.great to see all your harvested fruits and food . I like your kitchen set up too. Thank you for the video.
I'm very impressed with your property/gardens, I've been following your channel for about three years and I think you have done a fantastic job it was nice to see how far your vegetable patch has grown, Well done to you I wish I could be half the gardener you are. 😊
Nice potato dish. My mother used to make it. To speed up the cooking she sliced the potatoes very thinly and layered with egg/milk mixture and cheese. Very delicious. Your garden is doing really well and I love all the interplanted flowers. Gardening has to be fun and not stressful.
Well I'll be trying all of those recipes at some point :) Except I'll be replacing goat's cheese with something like cheddar I guess 'cos I find goat's cheese revolting 🤣 I don't know why but I was getting proper 'little house on the prairie' vibes from that shot of you taking scraps to the chickens! Hope you're finding a rhythm that suits you better :)
Great video and I think a seasonal garden cook book would be brilliant 🤔❤️🏴ps all the peach skin in a pot with water and sugar, cook it for a while to get a syrup it’s great to pour over pancakes or anything that takes your fancy
I love the new components of your kitchen, Lea, and those were wonderful meals you prepared (yes, quite a bit of work involved in some of those). I love sunflowers, both for the display and their fruit. Those red ones?? Gorgeous- I wonder if the taste is any different?
Beautiful meals, I'm so hungry now after watching you're great video I must go and make lunch! Thank you for taking us along with you. Best wishes from the UK.
After long time seen your video ,so happy to see your family. Cute children and your food looks so delicious. Looking forward to see more videos take care of you and your family ❤💖💕
Since you are making chutney , you can shock the peaches in boiling water for a few seconds (like it is done with tomatoes), and the peach skins will slide off.
Leah and Martin you have done a beautiful harvest this summer and as they say 'what you sow you shall reap', and you have done just that. The flowers in your garden with your vegetable garden is a lovely place, Congratulations on your potato harvest, what potato did you plant? How is the project coming on for your house on the top field? I remember Martin was flattening it out. Your tomato salad is lovely. Have you ever tried making Italian Caprese salad with tomato's (tomato, basil, mozzarella cheese, olive oil drizzled over) delicious. You can also bottle can your fresh peaches in a light syrup. You are absolutely doing a fantastic job on using your fresh produce and have inspired me to be more creative with food. I loved Puk humming she is a lovely young lady. Have a lovely day to you, Martin and family.
Sorry, I don’t remember which type of potato we planted. We’re making a little progress on the house, but mostly preparation so that we can start in the fall.
