I really enjoyed growing it last year, have some seeds to try for this year too. I ate it raw grated in coleslaw, and I also made I with onions and bacon :D
Very good idea on serving them. I must try it. I have tried sowing 2 weeks ago, but I think it is still too hot. I will try tomorrow again, as it is already one month into Autumn here Gauteng South Africa, but it feels like summer. I only have the green kohlrabi and last year was my first successful harvest. I explain the plant to some of my friends as the"alien plant"😂 Only 1 of my gardening friends know and plant kohlrabi. My question: Is there a taste difference between the green and the purple? I missed your episodes a lot. I double checked my notifications, but is still on, or did I miss something? Peace my friend. God bless
It tasted great! Temperature dropped a little on my side so it definitely doesn’t feel like summer yet for me. And yea I’m not completely sure how to explain it by looks alone yet lol. I’ve heard they both taste the same, just different in color. I haven’t grown the green variety yet. I had a gap in posting but looking to get back on it more regularly now.
