I don't get to eat jujubes very often but funnily enough I'm not at all keen on them when they get brown all over, i prefer them virtually all green with brown spots developing. I also don't like the fully dried ones either 😂
@@RealLifeFruitopia haha it's the spongy texture that I don't like, I like them crispy crunchy 😂. I've got both Li and Lang but its challenging to get them to fruit here as they need warmer, longer Summers 🤪
Also forgot Fruitopia Nursery as well in Queensland that also have a good list of Tropicals listed. Have you I ever bought trees from them ? They would most likely seed you a free plant for the name sake of your Channel Fruitopia the same as there Nursery.
I found a great nursery that can send plants 🌱 to Melbourne that you may be interested in ? If you don’t know about it already ? Just bought a Golek Mango and Peanut Butter Tree from them and got a free tree bayberry as well. Plants arrived very quickly which was good. I would recommend checking them out to try for Tropical Plants nursery is TROPICAL PLANET NURSERY. Which are in Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 and send to Melbourne. At first when I found there website I thought they maybe overseas. Good to have different nurseries to buy Tropicals from Tropical Planet Nursery , Ross Creek Nursery , Daleysfruit Nursery. 🌴
Hi George, Yes, the taste of the really ripe Jujubes dont go off at all. Indeed, you can dry them out in the food hydrator. They taste so different but yet so nice. It's totally a different taste to the half ripened ones. I love the half or 3/4 ripened or the wrinkle ones.
@@RealLifeFruitopia It probably depends on the climate. My 3 yo Li still hasn't fruited, although it had small fruits last year that dropped. Jujubes seem to be very slow growers where I live... I don't think they get enough summer heat.
