Wow, that's quite a surprise! I know a guy that swears by planting whole sweet potatoes. He's shown some great yields from his place in North Carolina, compared to slips planted at the same time. Many of our fabric grow bags turned out like this or worse this year. I think it was partly a watering issue on my part, growing a variety that is very inconsistent, and trying to grow too much in a single bag. Learning for next year!
@@joshuahoyer1279I agree we have to keep on top of the watering. Grow bags, especially the black ones dries out fast. Lack of water is definitely a negative for sweet potatoes.
